RX 6600XT & ROG STRIX B460 I GAMING = black screen

Hi

I have a Gigabyte RX 6600 XT GPU that shows a black screen even before the BIOS loads, but this only happens when I connect this GPU to my Rog Strix B460I Gaming motherboard.

I connected other GPUs (RTX 4080, RX 460, and GTX 970) to this motherboard, and they all work fine. If I connect the RX 6600 XT to another motherboard, it also works without any issues; the black screen only occurs when I combine the B460-I with the RX 6600 XT.

I have already changed the power supply, cables, tried configuring the PCI slot in the BIOS, updated the BIOS, and nothing helped.

An interesting point: I have a PCIe x16 to x1 adapter, and when I use this adapter, the GPU works normally.
I don't know what else to try, and it seems that neither the motherboard nor the GPU has any defects. It's only when I combine the two that I get this black screen. Any idea how to get these two to work together?

Best Regards

Have you tried other connectors from the 6600 XT? Some cards can be picky when connecting a monitor to specific connectors.

Yes. I had tried with two different cables in different ports, but after your suggestion, I decided to try a different monitor as well. Two monitors, two different cables (1 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort), tested in all GPU ports, and the black screen remains.

Sounds weird after all those diagnostic attempts. Starts to feel like a pure compatibility issue.
