While playing Enshrouded I noticed some kind of strange visual effects in the fog of the game, especially it happens at night.

The only way it is "solved" is by changing the graphic settings, either higher or lower, but after a while it returns when it gets dark in the game

Are these artifacts?

Hey!
First of all, it would help us all a lot if you filled out your system specs HERE.
Secondly, have you noticed these problems in any other game?
And thirdly, is your card overclocked?

To try to answer your question right away: since you're saying changing graphics settings sort of helps, but then it comes back (only)at night, it sounds to me more like a game bug.
But we definitely need to get more information first before drawing any conclusions :)

Are you familiar with AMD Adrenaline?

I already filled my PC specs, thx.

Nop, i didn't notice any problem in another game.

And thirdly, is your card overclocked?
Nope, it isn't OC.

This does not look like artifacts or problem with your GPU or GPU memory that is usually problem when artifacts happens if you notice this only in this game it's most likely issue with the AMD drivers you can try and install some other driver version....GL

A little bit.
Since it's game related, this might confirm my suspicions.
What driver version are you running?
If you want, you can try to lower core/memory clocks by 50 MHz in Adrenalin.

Yup. Artifacts aren't usually so neatly contained. Looks like either a game bug or a driver bug to me.

Update to latest 24.6.1 and see if that fixes the issue. I don't see anything in the changelog for this specific game but hey, it might help.
Your GPU is probably fine.
It wouldn't hurt to check temps or try to lower clocks. 99% it's the game or driver related issue.

My temps are good, almost every game is in 55° celcius, maximum 60°, even less

In the afternoon I'll update drivers and i will tell you how it went.

What does "neatly contained" mean?

That's good. Hotspot not going over 90°C?

It means that they are only appearing in a small, specific area. Artifacting usually is across the whole screen. Memory related issues will mostly give you texture flickering, while core related issues usually result in spots of a certain color appearing, again, across the whole screen.

It really does look like a rendering bug.

Nop, it stays lower than 70°C, around 65°

Oh, i see what u mean. Well i will stay calm, i also runned a MSI Kombustor test and it didnt find any artifact.

Allright. So it's like this then:
1. Update drivers, if it doesn't fix the issue ↓
2. Try to lower clocks by 50 MHz each and if that doesn't fix the issue ↓
3. It's 99.9% a game/driver related bug and you will have to wait for either the game developer or AMD to fix the issue :)

Why shouldn't I run Furmark or Kombustor? I'm a lit bit curious about that
Because the gpus will detect it and throttle back for self protection

Yeah, GPU core instability often results in squares in many places on the screen, followed by a solid freeze, also often a random failed-to-initialize-Direct3D error box.

While unstable VRAM, is suspected of causing random Cache Hierarchy Error WHEAs. Also for unstable VRAM, look for flashing lines, like an old analog film.

Unstable GPU core is more likely to look like a bad digital TV signal.

Yep, nothing worked, but I ended up drawing the same conclusions as you guys, since it only happens in that game.

To know if it's a faulty GPU core, try Unigine Superposition 1080p Extreme, or Beam NG. drive.
