Hello guys and gals,

I have a PowerColor Red Dragon RX 6800 and I have been surfing the web to see if we can remove the power limits or flash another Vbios to access higher voltages and the likes.. Not that I have had any lucky.

I am assuming that there just isn't a way I guess??

Am I looking in the wrong places or is there a way to increase voltages and power limits?!?!?

Thank you.

"In addition to the work cycle with and without SAM and the undervolting experiments, I naturally tried the maximum OC first. Here you first have to raise the power limit to the maximum possible 15 percent. More is not possible from the outside. Overwriting the registers with higher values causes the card to clock down to 568 MHz. Thanks for that."

So apparently no, you are stuck with what AMD allows in their driver.

Well then that's a shame....
Pity as clearly the card can be pushed further but I guess... then it would overtake the XT model I guess and they don't want that! It makes sense I suppose.

Anyway thank you!!

Using the MPT (More Power Tool) you can raise the base power and/or power limit. Doing that got me about 3-4% higher actual FPS on top of Under Volting and OC (2580MHz, floats around 2480-2540MHz in game). The driver freaks out if it see's 260 watts, mine hovers just under 255 watts and spikes to 256 watts every once in a while. Rock solid, hasn't locked up or crashed on me since i dialed it in.

Still annoying for the extra steps you have to go though and remember every time you update the driver or you loose power and it thinks it crashed
