Please help, my RX 6800XT is heavily underperfoming in games... I've tried playing Wahammer Space Marine 2, very high settings native TAA 1440p and I'm geting only around 40 fps 99% gpu usage. Also in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart I'm getting around 80fps, when I should be hitting 120fps as seen in benchmarks with my gpu and similar cpus. It's frustrating and I don't even know where to start looking.. Temps in game are around 65-70°C for CPU and 60-70° for GPU. In 3D mark Time Spy Extreme 4k I've gotten a score of
This is persistant between all games
My specs are : RX 6800XT (connected in PCIE3 slot) (default, no oc)
Ryzen 7 5700X3D (-30mv all core offset) (tried disabling it, didn't do anything for more fps)
2 x 8GB DDR4 3200mhz cl16 SR ram running in dual channel / XMP profile on
Asrock b450-pro4-f mobo
500GB m2. ssd for system
1TB wd blue sata ssd for games
Resize bar/SAM/SMT all on in bios

Driver version: adrenalin 24.10.37.10 (version for space marine 2) I've had the latest WHQL before installing these, the issues were the same...
Windows version: Win 11 Professional (x64) Build 26100.1742
this is my 3d mark time spy extreme score: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/117307891

Looking at your GPU-Z pic, your pci bus interface seems to be stuck at x4 only so that may be causing that massive bottleneck. Try reseating your gpu. If all else fails, try cleaning your pci express slot with some kind of contact cleaner. Hope this helps.

Well damn, thx for noticing this! I've checked the mobo manual again, and it seems that I got confused and actually put the GPU into the PCIE 2.0 slot because it was called "PCIE3" in the motherboard layout so I thought that's the PCIE 3.0 slot... I've checked now and its PCIE 2.0 for PCIE3 and PCIE3.0 for PCIE2 (why tho :D) :banghead: After reseating the gpu to the correct slot I'm now getting around 70fps in Space Marine 2, the improvement is big.

Look at your GPU-Z report. Did you mean third slot or the g3x16 slot? It appears to be running a g4x16 card in a g2x4 slot. Effectively g4x1 interface speed. Fix this.

PCIe x16 4.0 @ x16 3.0? Yup, that looks about the best you can get with that board. Time to bench. Full send. :pimp:
