Hey dears,
I would appreciate your help in my case which is
I've a MSI rx5700xt gaming x was working fine till i tried to flash it but I've used a wrong bios.. Afterwards i rebooted the pc everything went black from then I've tried everything to unbrick the GPU.. Even i got my friend's GPU ( gtx 1660 super) to put it in primary slot and my GPU in the secondary slot.. It worked and the pc booted up then i uninstalled the AMD drivers using DDU.. When i rebooted i couldn't re-install in as if there's no adaptar found and couldn't reflash it for the same reason I've tried using Atiflash_293 version

Hope that you can help me
Thanks in advance

I've an rx 5700xt gaming x I've flashed it by wrong bios the it went black.. I've got another old gpu to reflash my 5700xt with right version.. I installed the old gpu in the 1st slot and the 5700xt in the 2nd slot First i cleaned up the drivers from my windows and rebooted and tried to re-install the drivers to reflash then but it failed to install it as it say that it couldn't find the Graphic card .. Tried to reflash with all the possible ways ( amdvbflash, amdvbflashwin, bootable usb) all got adapter not found.. Then i removed my 5700xt and kept the old gpu only on but i put it into 2nd slot.. It didn't work.. I moved the old gpu to the 1st slot.. It worked.. Although my 5700xt card has fans working

Note : I've msi mortar max motherboard

Power off the system, locate and short the video BIOS 1-8 pins as seen in the guide.

I don't think he needs to short anything, the system is booting with the card.

Do not worry about installing drivers at this point, what you need to do is open device manager and make sure the bricked card is being detected and follow those instructions that were posted from the point where it says Flashing AMD cards: (I would just go straight to cmd and do everything from there)

First try the GUI version (AMDVBFlashWin), if it doesn't work, use the command prompt version (search for cmd.exe and run it with administrator privileges).

Navigate to the folder where you put the files:

CD C:\Fullpath\

***If the folder is C:\Users\David\Downloads\New folder use "CD C:\Users\David\Downloads\New folder\"***

Type: "amdvbflash -i" to see which adapter id is the bricked card.

amd-vbflash-i.png

And then type:

amdvbflash -unlockrom 0
amdvbflash -f -p 0 filename.rom

***Change 0 to the correct adapter id, and filename.rom to the video BIOS file***

It will be fast so just don't do anything and let it flash the bios. Hopefully you get a message that flashing is complete etc. After that type exit, shut down off pc, take out amd card, and uninstall and DDU the nvidia drivers and then reinstall the 5700xt. Having a second card makes this a walk in the park man, just follow instructions.

But if you can't I would be more than happy to take that card off your hands lol...

Sometimes bricked cards will not be detected even when used as secondary GPU and therefore cannot be flashed back.

Shorting the BIOS or SPI programmer is the only way to flash back in such scenario.
