Hey folks, I recently gave one of my mining cards to my friends, but I fogot it had a modded BIOS, and I have no backup for it.
I tried this BIOS but it only bricked my card.

I didn't found any other BIOS out there, and the manufacturer is japanese, so no chance of contacting the support.

Anyone have it's bios? I would be very grateful! Thanks!

Also, a photo the white sticker on the back can be helpful. That looks more like an XFX card to me, but I may be mistaken.

You know, the information
Get a picture of a ram chip up close please
You know, the OP's specifics from GPU-Z are an almost exact match for the card that I had, right down to the vBIOS version. Do you suppose that it's possible they encountered the same problem I did? That it won't work with a motherboard using a Legacy BIOS?

Check this out... The OP's GPU-Z Picture:

And now the screenshot that I put up in the other thread:

The device ID and vBIOS versions are identical. The only difference that I can see is the interface. Mine says "PCIe x 16 3.0 @ x16 1.1" and theirs says "PCIe x 16 3.0 @ x4 2.0" - whatever that means.

His is in a different slot, and yours was in a low power state.

On tip-off that his BIOS is damaged or mismatched is that there are fields with the value "unknown" and that the only API shown as supported is OpenGL.

When he can open up his card we can see the part number on the GPU frame and get him the right BIOS.

I'm learning something new here. That's pretty cool! I never got that in-depth with video cards before but it's very interesting! :D

Ive been helping users since about 2017 for both AMD and nvidia, I dont have a nv guide but I can track files down

Pcie power states have been around since I believe R9/R7/R5 200 Series days in 2013.

Anyways OP has wrong bios on the card due to the ram in bios not matching what is physically on the card.

Here are the files.

I will send one tomorrow, I have no tools to open it today :(

Well, believe it or not, I managed to get a best answer on Tom's yesterday by tracking down the correct vBIOS for someone's XFX RX 580 Black Edition 8GB card. It was because you showed me how to do it, so thanks for that! :D

First of all, thank you very much. I have no idea how did you found those BIOS, but you already did a lot of lifiting for me.

But it isn't solved yet.

Tried to install the bios using your method (step by step, and paying attention to the card number) and the exe from the AMDflash, while they both succeeded, none of them fixed the issue, it stay the same way.

Which make me wonder if the problem is the current pc I am testing the card.

Here is the following events of this card

  • Brought this card for mining, changed the BIOS, and worked perfectly for more or less 5 months.
  • Stoped mining due non-relevant events.
  • Card was collecting dust for a whole year
  • Decided to give the card to my friend. He tried to use it but didn't worked.
  • He got video on his pc (Motherboard Gigabyte Z87M-D3H), but he got error 43 on the card driver, and he noticed it didn't had a BIOS (but at least had a bus width)
  • We tried to install another BIOS, and it briked the card
  • Brought the card to my work, and installed it as a secondary card on the work pc (motherboard Asus P8H77-V LE) in the second PCI-E 16x 2.0 slot
  • I belive I unbriked it by installing the new BIOS and drivers, BUT: Can't get video from the card (only tested via HDMI, not sure if the issue is on the tv or cable), still have the same missing informations from my previous reply. Altho, the card have the right name and it is detecting on windowns.
  • I have a primary card on the work pc to be able to use the pc and mess with the card.
  • PC does turn if I put the card in any of the slots alone, but I don't get the video, which I am not sure if it is the card fault
Good god.....

Sounds to me it has a hardware failure due to mining.

If the flash didnt resolve it with all correct info needed, the card is faulty and should be replaced.

That's sad and weird. I have tested the card before (months ago, after mining) and it was working. Well, it is what it is

That's why I wouldn't pay more than $70CAD for a card that I know was used for mining. These miners caused us gamers a whole lot of suffering for a long time and they more than made their money back on the cards that they used so I say "Screw 'em!".

You will find equivalent performance from a RX 6500XT Brand new in box with warranty, or step up to a RX 6600

Hello, I am a player from China, your card, I look quite familiar, if convenient, please upload a picture of the back of this card, I want to confirm whether its video memory is double-sided or single-sided, to match the appropriate VBIOS.

Rx580s are not doublesided

Hello, I am a Chinese gamer, unfortunately I saw you encounter such an encounter here. Depending on the situation you described, there may be a problem with graphics and memory. This is also a relatively easy problem to solve if this type of problem is related to us. However, I cannot understand the situation in your country. Usually, as long as you use the MODS graphics and memory testing software to test which graphics and memory particles to replace, it will be solved, I also have a lot of RX580 graphics cards in my hands, usually, I debug them perfectly before selling. I'll cover some of the experiences later, and I hope everyone will be able to buy satisfactory graphics and memory.

According to my experience, the core is likely to be 470 or 570 core, and the video memory is Samsung FC. Therefore, as long as the VBIOS of 470 or 570 is found, the Samsung graphics card memory is generally used after flashing.

The RX 570 and chinese market RX580 2048 SP are laser cut RX 580s (Polaris 20) same chip, different bin.

1002 6FDF 1002 0B31 are the bios for those particular cards as there are some RX570s that are 1002 67DF **** ****
