Hi Everyone,

I am new to this problem but I have found that a similar issue I am facing is quite common for these models of card.
I have bought a second hand Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 4gb - the appearance is great and no sign of use at all. The card seems to work fine (Furmark and 3DMark went okey) but while trying the GPU-Z for both bios position I have got the same GPU/memory speeds. - I guess this indicates a problem and most likely modded bios for mining. Just guessing :), but could be as well okey, no idea, sorry. If there is an issue, I would like to get back to stock bios rather than using this one.

I have enclosed both screenshots (both switch positions) from GPU-Z and SN of the card.
- left means bios switch near the PCI bracket
Could anyone help me to flash the stock bios for this card for both positions?
I have saved the bios as well and enclosed.

any help will be appreciated, especially pointing to the right bios to flash.

thx, Tomas

There is a difference between those 2 files. On VRAM timings. Everything else is exactly the same.
There are 2 sets of timings (set1/2) on each file for different type of memory (Elpida/Hynix).

Here on TPU BIOS data base I can only find one file that matches your card (1411/1750 Elpida) and its the same with the "Right" one.
The second in the list below.

There is another one with 1411/2000 for Core/VRAM speeds but this is for Samsung VRAM chips. It won't work.

On Sapphire page for the RX 580 Nitro+ 4GB (SKU: 11265-07) the specs are 1411MHz/1750MHz.

I couldn't find any details about the BIOS switch and what the differences between them are suppose to be.

Hi,

thank you for your answer, highly appreciated.
It seems that I was just over-reacting without any cause :). That is certainly positive and it looks, after few days, that the performance is stable without any crash. I didnt know that Saphire release so many versions of a single model and it looks that in my country, this particular one was sold. I am happy with how it is right now, no intention to modify the bios for more performance :)

thank you a lot, I already feel much better now :)

thank you, Tomas

Just the silent BIOS (left side, close to the display outputs) is missing.

Thank you for your answer.
I am running the card always on performance mode, I want to play although only sometimes since my time is limited :) but it is certainly bothering me and I need to know. Still, I would like to avoid flashing if it is not necessary.

Anyway, thank you a lot again for your answers :)

best regards, Tomas

Hi,

I got an advice to contact the Sapphire support to get the "right" stock BIOS and they have sent me it for both BIOS positions according to my card SN.
The right BIOS was ok, as you have already mentioned and the left one obviously wrong. According to the namespace of Sapphire, the left one (silent) was flashed with a performance BIOS with modified memory timings.

Anyway, here you go with the stock BIOS for the RX580 4GB Nitro+ SKU: 11265-07

thx, Tomas
