Hello, I have a problem with my SSD, after turning on the computer, the BIOS recognizes that there is an SSD, but when reviewing the SSD, I stop that it does not have a serial number and is 1 GB, when I disconnect it, the computer starts. The disk management does not recognize the ssd, but the device manager indicates that there is an ssd attached. Has anyone had such a problem? or at least advise me how to proceed?

-trying to switching working cables - with windows ssd work proper with samsung ssd840 nothing happen. and one more thing in boot menu i didn't see samsung ssd 840

It may be a bug in Windows 10 where sometimes unformatted drives won’t show up in disk management. Try formatting it using a third party software like MiniTool Partition Wizard Free Edition (or any other one out there) to see if it can format it and then hopefully disk management can see the ssd drive.

Is it a new 840? Does it show as an option when you look at the boot drive options in the Bios?

What's wrong with downloading the SAMSUNG Utility and seeing if the Firmware is up to date and what the health status is???

Open it up and see if it's a fake with a CF card in it.

I took it to a service center and it turned out that the board had burned out.

Tatty_One - as to whether there is an option to be seen in the boot - no, not visible.

the ssd is 6 years old.
