Hello,

I have gpu that is having issues with artifacting but for some reason it only artifacts when I'm using the silent mode but works fine with performance mode. I'm trying to find a fix for it & thought about updating the VBios.

I already tried a couple of things like reseating gpu, etc... but to be honest I kinda wanna flash VBios just to experiment. I'm completely fine if I brick the gpu on accident cuz it's a pretty old card I'm no longer using

I have no clue on how to do it though, I've watched some tutorials online but what I'm confused about is what VBios for sapphire nitro rx 5700xt am I supposed to use. The VBios collection I found online doesn't really mention if it's meant for the silent, performance or trixx mode so I would like some help from experienced members of this forum

I also heard that if I brick a vbios mode, I could still use other bios modes to reflash the bricked bios mode but how do I do that? Wouldn't flashing the VBios just flash the current bios I'm using?

Correct.
  1. You boot with vbios A
  2. Then change the vbios switch to position B
  3. Then you flash the vbios. The bios will be written on position B.

Wouldn't flashing the VBios just flash the current bios I'm using?
Not if you change the vbios switch position to the broken vbios before flashing :)
