Hello, I just discovered something weird about my GPU. I bought an RX580 2nd hand 3 years ago and I'm only noticing right now that my vBios don't seem to be in stock bios.
I was wondering if someone can help me with this one. I only have 4GB of VRAM but on the bios, based on amdvbflashWin it says I have 8GB. I'm a bit confused if I need to do something about this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can you see which part number is on the card?

Pull the card from the case, look at the sticker on the side of it, is it a pulse or nitro? You may have a bios switch and its set to the compute bios, not gaming bios.

I think it's either a 480, or a 580 downclocked to 1145 Mhz instead of the usual 1366Mhz for mining purposes.

I'm new to this but I believe its a Sapphire Pulse. Here are some photos. I do not see a bios switch anywhere.

4GB model, should be base clock of 1257Mhz and 1366Mhz boost. Looking at the clocks it's 100% flashed because of likely mining.

Thanks @Jism, I think so as well, I was desperate at the time because GPU's were very expensive. I am also waiting for @eidairaman1. maybe he can guide me on what bios to flash. I don't have an iGPU just in case something goes wrong so I'm very careful with this stuff.

You can flash from within windows; if you have any OC's active on your CPU or RAM it's best to set stock.

Take a bios file from Techpowerup, load up Ati Flash or Winflash whatever it's called, flash it in and go.

actually the clock setting is'nt bad. I mean beyond the given clockspeed the GPU is set to it wont be any faster since that GPU is heavily bandwidth constraint.

Thank you guys. I will do a little more research before deciding on what bios to flash. Just to be sure. :)

If you want to be sure which bios to flash, you must remove the cooler to see which part number is listed on the memory

Hello.
For the moment no need to remove the cooler.
Since you have a fully functional card but with a mining BIOS in it, that will be enough to identify the memory code.
Please go to GPU-z > advanced tab > dropdown menu and choose memory info.
Make a picture and post it here.
After that i will identify the right right BIOS for your card and i will put it here.

OK.
Based on your card's ID, subID and memory code, here you have the right BIOS :

Hello @Imperator. Here's what I see under Advanced > Memory Timings. Thank you!

Ok before flashing I want you to look at the card edge that faces you when installed in the pcie slot (not where the white sticker is) then also look on the pcie mounting bracket where the vid out ports are.

Did you managed to find the original bios for your card?
I also have a 8gb card bios flashed on it and cannot open bios if I disable csm and turn on uefi
