Sapphire is so far the only AMD add-in-board (AIB) partner to show a reference design for the upcoming Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card. Sapphire has previously revealed a couple of models, including those in its NITRO, PURE, and PULSE series, for both the Radeon RX 7800 XT and the Radeon RX 7700 XT.

The AMD reference design, also known as the AMD MBA (Made by AMD) design, will be available directly from AMD's own official webstore, and so far Sapphire is the only partner to carry such a design. Sapphire is keeping it simple and does not apparently include even a sticker, so you'll be getting the same version that AMD has envisioned. Of course, some custom versions with triple-fan coolers might perform better than AMD's own reference design, and we are sure that the AMD AIB partners will implement factory-overclocked settings on some of its premium versions, like the NITRO+ lineup from Sapphire.

Sapphire has previously revealed a couple of designs, including the flagship RX 7800 XT / 7700 XT NITRO+, with a triple-slot, triple-fan cooler with a large heatsink with 8 heatpipes, a 14-phase VRM, a 14-layer PCB design, a dual BIOS feature, and more. The lineup will also include the Sapphire PURE series, and the Sapphire PULSE series which could be less expensive versions.

Of course, it is expected that the Sapphire Radeon RX 7800 XT MBA will end up on retail/e-tail shelves at a suggested retail price of $499.

Crosshair

I read it as a very negative sign expressing the overall AMD's unhappiness about the new world order and changes.
What's good for them is bad for the others.

This is the first time they use such a symbol instead of a better marketing, as far as I know...

I'd be very interested in a comparison between the stock card and the pulse, since they're both shorter two fan cards that can be used in smaller cases. Any chance Sapphire sent a pulse over for the 6th?

Looks good but to be honest, it's more likely for AMD fans or people that want a smaller cooler, or exactly that MBA AMD design. Otherwise it makes more sense to go for custom models, especially the Sapphire Nitro+ one, is just great. The performance looks also decent enough, the pricing will ultimately decide whether its a failure or not. As AMD will underprice Nvidia while having more Vram, i guess it will be fine. Not great though.
