Sata and M.2. PCI-E. Avaible and unavaible.

I have understand that some Sata connectors or M.2 slots becomes unavaible if you use some of the Pcie slots? I guess you cannot have for example 8 hard drives in the 8 sata connectors and 3 M.2 cards together? It seems complicated.

100% depends on the platform and how many PCIe lanes is available. Read the manual for the motherboard limitations.
