PSU prices have gone up a lot since last year, for no apparent reason.

I'd argue one apparent reason: ATX 3.0 specs.
Is it reason enough? For the marketing and sales teams it may very well be.

Nah, I got a 750W Seasonic Focus GX last year, it's over twice what I paid for it now, so it has nothing to do with that.

They're big and heavy so maybe shipping costs?
Shipping costs have decreased significantly since 2022.

They're not sleeved, it's molded to have that look.

I have their 12VHPWR cable, and it's not a braided sleeve.

I bought mine in 2020 March, for the same price as this new 850W, and it was a SEASONIC Prime GX-850 850W
So yeah, prices went up, just because...
