Hello everyone, what upgrade would you recommend for me from rx 580 8gb, i play mostly esports games at 144hz/144fps at 1080p. I am totally okay with playing on lowest settings, the card i am using right now can deliver 144fps at all times in old titles, but new titles such as apex legends, escape from tarkov, and cod warzone i cant even reach 144fps at lowest settings with an overclock. The card started acting up weird aswell so i am in looking for a gpu.

I am in between rx 6600, rx 6500, rx 6400 and rtx 3050. I know the three cards i have listed are not out yet, and 2 of them are going to have 4gb of vram. I want to grab one of them once they are released before they are out of stock.

What would you recommend for me i am kind of in a tight budget right now as i am a student and the gpu prices went through the roof.

Specs:
Mobo: msi b550 mag bazooka
Cpu: Amd ryzen 5600x
Ram: Corsair 3600 mhz cl16 8gb ram x2
Psu: 650 watt corsair cxf650

Its still a good card for 1080p 60fps gaming, i would hold on to it until cip shortage is over and prices are back to normal, the rtx 4000 series and new AMD cards would be available then.

Non of them would give you a big performance boost over the 580, and you would end up buying them at scalper price for a small benefit, like i said, you should wait

If however you are stubborn about your decision, then the rx 6600 it is

OP says the card is acting up lately, which could either mean driver issue or maybe the card is on its last legs. Chip shortage probably won't be over in 2023 and it could last another 5 years which is when all these new Intel, TSMC and Samsung fabs being built will become operational.

What is your budget then?
Sounds like your best bet is to go on AMD.com on Thursdays and hope for a drop at MSRP. And whatever nvidia equivalent you'll get in your home country (which is none in my country BTW).

I'd go with the RX 6600 if I were you. It gives basically double the FPS in games than an RX 580. In some games that fair performance boost will allow you play maxed textures. That depends what games you play.

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the answers, my budget limit is up to rx 6600 because once i start looking for higher end models like 6700xt, the price literally doubles where i live. I am in between rx 6500 and rx 6600 right now since i want to go for amd to use SAM feature, would the 4gb vram on 6500xt bottleneck the fps that much even on low graphics settings ? The problem i am having with my rx 580 8gb is this > https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...rx580-8gb-problem-after-flashing-bios.290374/ i couldnt fix my issue and i have a feeling its going to die soon. So I would rather not wait and buy a gpu.

If you can find a new RX 5700XT go with it
