Different settings and resolutions: can't compare this way.

OP: figure out a standard that all participants can use and separate resolutions, with said standard.

I was having the same problem. But then I closed the main Steam window, while leaving the smaller download window open. And suddenly the download window displayed correctly. Allowing me to download it.

I would suggest a one-size-fits all approach for settings: Graphics on Highest preset, TAA, 1080p, Fullscreen (non-exclusive)

Like this.
- All settings can be verified from the screenshot (adjusting graphics detail settings will result in it showing 'Custom' where you see Highest atm)
- No issues with multi screen setups / refresh rates (exclusive fullscreen can create problems for some setups)
- Decent load on the GPU both for high end and midrange.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
The problem is nobody followed it. At least the first person didn't.

We are not sure if this is simply a pool of results (bleh and pretty useless as a thread) or if the OP is going to keep track of these... he's been here but hasn't responded to anything.

OP already had: it's not that hard to match the same settings.

What is 'ultra high' then? And the OP also doesn't specify AA setting, nor exclusive fullscreen. So it IS hard to match. As can be seen by every result that followed.

Typically, if one suggests "Ultra High", its a preset in the game. If a preset is suggested without an additional information, then it stands to reason to just use the defaults of the suggested preset.

Why would exclusive fullscreen and fullscreen be listed. Performance won't be any different between them, right? If users have trouble running one or the other, switching won't make a difference.

Performance can vary between fullscreen and exclusive fullscreen modes, not sure if it does so for this bench. The problem with exclusive fullscreen is that it also sets a refresh rate in this bench, which can have performance or frame capping effects. It surely doesn't add to all doing the same run.

Ultra high is not a preset you can choose. There is High and Highest. Did you even look at this benchmark or?

I did, and run it for both my GPU reviews and Motherboard reviews, actually. Sorry I do not recall its exact verbiage offhand. Its set it and forget it for me, bub. :)

That said, you can see from the screenshot in the first post it is set to HIGHEST (did you even look at his screenshot or...? :p)... but clarity would be helpful nonetheless. :)

EDIT: Exclusive FS is OFF by default, for the record. :)

EDIT2: Thread is a mess... would love for the staff to come in and clean this up a bit or encourage the OP to do so...

Did anyone experience 60fps lock? First run was fine, tried OC but third scene was locked to 60, was 80+ in first run.

To that I would add: Graphics driver settings at default, List your CPU and GPU models and their clock speeds

This would be up to the discretion of the OP maintaining it... at least, that is what you told me when I brought it up in your thread. ;)

Really though it depends on the goal of the thread. If the goal is to see who gets the most FPS, then tweaking of the driver should be allowed. If the point is to get like for like comparisons, then of course something like that should be implemented.

I always thought threads like this are for 'racing' not for comparing like for like.

I'm not really in favor of doing it one way or the other in this case. I can see the value in both methods. I was just suggesting the way I might do it. Well...that kind of implies that's the way I did it too. Which is true. I suppose I should try it the other way and see what happens.

Anywho...OP maintenance. Probably not going to be a thing with this one.
