Hi. First of all, English is not my main language. Sorry if i say things that not makes sense.

I have B460M-K Prime - i3 10100F - RX 5500XT 8 GB. I don't have any complains about GPU but CPU really feels bad. Hotter than most CPU's with tiny performance.

I'm planning to switch B450M S2H (second hand, used, cheapest in my country) and R5 5600. Does it makes sense?

Other parts:

2x8 16 GB RAM.
450-550W (can't remember) PSU.
ASUS 75 Hz 1 ms monitor

If i buy R5 5600, i'm planning to use it with stock fan.

0. It's okay, I'm also not a native speaker. However, I somehow manage to speak better than some natives.
1. Upgrading to Ryzen 5600 might prove a little bit disappointing. Yes, this CPU is faster but it's not like ten thousand times faster. It's also not cooler, you'll still see very high temperatures.
2. You might wanna upgrade to i5-10600K instead. This doesn't require you to change your motherboard (but I really advise to install heatsinks on VRM), nor will it require a monstrous cooler (but stock won't cut it anymore).
NB: Intel non-F CPUs can run QuickSync which is a fairly neat alternative to other video encoding methods. Also won't hurt having an emergency iGPU.
In general, this purchase seems rushed out and half-baked but it's not completely insane.

10600/10700 better option than platform swap to Zen 3.

11900 is a complete waste of time over the 11700 and both likely out of budget, without offering significant improvements over 10700.
if the price is right... :)

if not yes i choose 11700

Thanks for answers.

I did some research, R5 5600 looks like far better than i5 10600K (in single core or L3 cache? idk much) and 10600K is more expensive. Second hand i5 10600K is expensive than zero R5 5600. Idk if "zero" is the right word, u guys will understand xD

Other CPU's u guys said is probably 2x-3x-4x more expensive. Isn't it the R5 5600 best choice?

5600 is maybe 1-2% faster than a drop in 10600K, and that's at stock speeds for the 10600K with XMP slow RAM.
10700K faster than both by a fair amount.

5600 also does not have iGPU which isn't ideal.

Not in budget, pointless to push 11th gen.

I own both and this Ryzen can't beat that i5* in anything. Slower in every workload, slower in every game. 5600X, however, can pack some punch but with a stock cooler... You wish.

*clocked to 5200 MHz which is impossible on your motherboard

my point in the end that both lga1200 and am4 are a dead platfoms so better look for a cpu with the best bange for your money

or upgarde all your system.

In Turkey, buying RTX 4060-4070 PC's cheaper than upgrading PC parts. Weird stuff. I just wanted to upgrade my CPU because of poor performance and being 85 degree with MX-6.

The reason I don't want Intel is that it gets too hot and doesn't provide as much performance as it gets hot. That's why i wanted to switch R5 5600 but u guys looks like convinced me to buy i5 10600k. Thanks.

in this case intel cpu like 10600k with good cooler is a better choice :)
