So basically bought a almost full pc without gpu, ram and storage for 35 euro. The things I got:
cooler master case;
i5 7400;
ASUS h110 motherboard;
stock cooler;
and the main reason for this thread a 400w 80plus bronze psu from fsp(4xmolex; 3xsata; 1x6pin gpu; 1x4pin cpu and 24pin)
Since I want to flip the pc I'm gonna buy 16gb ram and thinking between a 1070 and a 1060.
So the question is buy a 1060 witch uses a 6pin or a 1070 witch uses an 8pin(i would use a molex to 2 sata and a molex to 1 sata; from the 2 separate satas to), and will i blow my psu trying to do 2nd option?

Safest to go 1060. Any adapters for power has a chance to go south really quick.

That is quite a stupid idea... You are basically trying to kill your PSU that way, unless the Molex connectors catch on fire before that which seems more likely on a semi-decent FSP unit.

This, on top OP wants to flip/sell this computer with it being a fire hazard. Morals down the drain.

Just don't ever use SATA power to PCI-e Molex. The SATA ports aren't rated at enough amps and the connectors can cook quite easily. Get some 2x 4 pin Molex to PCI-e Molex, they should handle it.

Also using the 2x 4 pin Molex adaptors for a 6pin 1060 or 8 pin 1070 should both be ok with that PSU and the connection. 1070 is 150w PD and it can pull 75w of that from the PCI-e x16 connector, leaving the 8 pin to give it the other 75w, which is already giving it some headroom using an 8 pin connector.

IIRC, that PSU will separate the CPU +12V rail from the rest.
Assuming only 2 rails, you're going to be severely limited, regardless of how you adapt or bond the connections.

SATA->PCIe is a bad idea, period. I have dozens of the adapters (included with x1 risers) and won't use them except as scraps to re-splice into other adapters. Even SATA<->Molex is frowned upon due to the way SATA connectors are constructed.

If it were my machine, I'd just re-pin or re-wire the PSU.
Which, if not experienced and attentive, is a good way to destroy equipment, possibly start a fire, and get shocked (or worse).

Note: most PSUs have 3 +12V and 3 GND connected to their PCIe 6-pin.
PCI-SIG spec, does not require or allow current on the center +12v pin.

So, while non-optimal and inviting of resistance issues...
You can adapt 2 seperate-leade Molex into a PCIe6, then use a dual6-to-8 adapter.

TBQH, I have a couple single 6 to single 8 PCIe adapter cables. I can't explicitly recommend it but,
a single full (3x3 conductor) PCIe 6pin is only lacking a single current carrying ground vs. Pcie 8pin.
(SENSE pins are not *supposed to* be used for current carrying)

With only 400W on-tap. I'd recommended the 1060 v. the 1070 and not muck with adapters at all.

Regardless, if flipping *please* properly load test the system before resale.
Even good PSUs age-out, especially if allowed to cake up in dust, overheating components like caps.
