I have a related issue. I recently changed my router. Kept the same home group going.

About 6 months ago I was setting up a Windows 8 laptop and used my Windows log in to create a profile. This laptop joined the home group. I wiped the laptop and sold it 3 months ago. I logged into the new router and under the windows 8 Network home group. There is still is. My full name. How can this happen?

I'm using Windows 10, but this should apply to 8, I would think.

You can try turning your location off. So you might not have to remove that information. Then delete your location history.

Delete from what. The router is new. This windows 8 laptop is new. Its a ghost PC. Wait maybe its my phone.

Oh...I wasn't aiming that at you. I don't actually know why that would be the case. The whole homegroup thing is new to me, with Windows 10(skipped 8, upgraded from 7, never used it with 7). I'll figure it out eventually.
