I will keep my 4070 as dedicated Physx device in games instead of selling it.

* and will buy a nvidia 4090 second hand instead?
If buyin another 40 series is an option, then no reason to keep the old one unless for a CUDA app that runs multi gpu.

4070 + 5080 = physx + multi frame dlss

…it does support it in modern 64-bit titles. Are you unironically going to keep a second moderately high wattage GPU in your rig just to play fucking Borderlands 2 with dynamically liquid slime from the port-a-potties?

Total waste of money to not sell that 4070. All the games that use 32bit Physx are 6+ years old and run at a billion frames already. Meaning a 1080 To that sells for $50 on eBay is good enough.

6 year old games are like from 2019, and by then PhysX was long since dead already. Prepare to feel old, the last big DirectX 9+PhysX games were Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel... from 2012 and 2014, respectively, the newest of which is 11 years old.

@Dr. Dro
I am sure PhysX will resurrect any time now and will bring is to the new age of realism and immersion in gaming. I have waited patiently, I can wait more. I still have a 770 to use as an Ageia card if pinch comes to shove. Any day now. Surely.

Apparently I don't know time anymore. I was thinking 2014 as well lol.
