Sineaptic is a new brand wanting to shake up the audio market with its new ribbon driver headphones called the SE-1 which happens to open-back in operation while also being wireless in connectivity. It aims to combine the best of audio engineering and novel drivers with EQ modes and onboard controls at an affordable price.

Thank you for that informative review. Sineaptic does seem to have made some very odd design choices. I wonder if Audio-Technica has patented their distinctive floating wing design, and Sineaptic had to avoid the simpler swivel points and cheaper foam pads.

I found the old ATH-ADxxx series supremely comfortable, so I'm biased when it comes to wing pads. At 412g, however, I'm not sure they're a good match for the SE-1.

Everything about it is kind of odd.. Which makes me like it but it also doesn't do to well to make a good headphone. Thanks for the review! Hopefully they come out with a 2nd generation that improves on things.

This is such an odd pair of cans… Why wireless? Why ribbon drivers? Why combine it all together? Why go for the “wing” suspension when even on AT it’s hit and miss (I can’t wear those, for example)? Why not just do a suspension band? Just bizzare all around…
The driver itself seems solid-ish, if they really wanted the mainstream market they should have gone with a more conventional design, closed back and add ANC. The market for wireless open cans is, like, five and a half men and their pet monkey.
The review mentions a 50K set that Sineaptic used as a comparison… They had to drag HE-1 into this too, huh?

At 200 you're better off going with one of the more known brands that offer both BT and RF. RF is always preferred for wireless audio due to BT being higher latency and worse quality.
