Yes. Use a program called DS4Windows. It emulates your DualShock4 as an X360 controller.
Can be used via bluetooth or cable.
I've been using it for a little over 2 years, never had any issues. Apart from the battery on the controller itself dying a bit, but that's not related.

I've tried using the PS4 controller with my PC using DS4Windows...it is working but I've encountered connection problems so I gave up. I use one of my xbox one s controllers when I need a game pad for my PC

It's not working via bluetooth for me. Works only with cable.

Win10? Did you setup the pairing process in Device Settings? Are you using built-in BT? or an adapter with BT?
The DS4 controller should work natively with quite a few games without the need for DS4Windows or Motioninjoy.

Had my DS4 through both cable and bluetooth using DS4Tool, some say its shite, but it worked fine for me. For using bluetooth, you need to power down your controller and when powering it on hold the Share button and the power button simultaneously until the light bar starts flashing white, then go into your bluetooth settings and your controller should be listed as a device, it might ask for a pin or it might not, but if it does its always four zeros.

Steam does, but games don't.
Just tried it on both RotTR and Witcher 3 without the emulation software, and none of them recognize controller input.
You have to make it work yourself in steam settings. Which makes it the same as having the program on

And to everyone having bluetooth problem, check the DS4Win site for proper setup.

The PS4 controller should fine with most games. Windows supports almost every game pad.

Yes, of course it depends on the game, too. Contact the developer and suggest they add support.

Its good for racing games and micro usb cable is the best for smartphones, these two are the only good things in ps4.

My experience with a PS4 controller and Steam games has been positive, though a bit limited. GTA5, DuckTales Remastered, and many Final Fantasy have played well.

Pinnacle game profiler works great for the games that don't have native PC support for controllers....

Haven't used in a few years tho...
I use a Steam Link now... And a keyboard and mouse when at the PC...

For me it's working only with cable. It tried many times with bluetooth dongle but it doesn't work. Is there any other option to connect via bluetooth?

Didn't you have a similar thread about a PS2 controller? You really should try an Xbox 360 or Xbone controller, it ought to work better with less fuss.

The best is to use the PS4 dongle and via steam everything works. I also use input mapper for GOG games.

After years usning the native bluetooth this dongle connection this one is more stable, more range and less latency, it is tailored for that. If you are a geek and living in a noisy environment, I suggest to an USB isolator, it will help to clean up power noise and boost SNR ratio many times.

Seconds after buying a PS4 controller, the first thing I did was taking it apart and putting bigger battery inside.

I know this sounds like a strange thing to do but it works great...
The Steam Link is a universal controller adapter...
If your monitor can accept a second HDMI input put the Steam Link on it and switch inputs... voila pair all of your wireless controllers and attach a keyboard and mouse if you want...
The steam link goes on sale a lot... I got mine for $12 shipped...

Just a thought if you catch it on sale

I use my steam link every now and then in the living room. Way too much lag for me to play anything online though. I wonder if the Shield is better handling the lag.

As a rule I avoid playing anything online with a controller when it's possible that I'm playing against someone who is using a keyboard and mouse.
I only use a controller for single player PC or for anything console.
I should have mentioned that.

I can play wired direct to my PC with no lag but the Steam Link introduces quite a bit of latency even on a completely wired connection.

To OP, I wish I could test my DS4 out for you right now but my nephew took it because I been using a an XB1. I do really like the DS4 though, you just need to have the right dongle. Which dongle do you have?
