Thread on Steam forums: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=952823
But I'll add the OP to here just for you lazy ones
"I got this game by pre-ordering Alpha Protocol downloaded it but when i try to run it i get a message saying Exception Detected with the background all black and it says something something this could take a few minutes then the message dissapears and the program becomes non responsive does anyone know how to fix this?."
I've been having this issue on my main rig, yet the game works fine on my laptop. (see post #6 in the linked thread)
The Steam forums are pretty much useless for any real technical support, so I figured I'd bring this to TPU's attention and see if anything comes out of it.
Cheers for any help.
