I have the Logitech X-540 Speakers . I wanted to extend the rear speakers .

SO i bought this wire

but the problem is that the the speaker connectors have a metal ring around the 3.5mm pin , which prevents it from entering into the female end of the above wire .

What to do ?

You need a 3.5mm to RCA connector it sounds like...the cable you have pictured is a 3.5mm extension cable with male 3.5mm on one end and it takes that same style of 3.5mm connector on the female end.

3.5mm to RCA are cheap and generally easy to find, I get 10ft ones for $3-6 at RadioShack/Best Buy/Staples, etc!

Hope that helps!

Well that depends...that's just an RCA extension...do you need an extension cable that CONVERTS from 3.5mm to RCA or just an extension that uses the same style except for male/female on both ends?
