Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., the creators of STEEZ, a brand of portable audio products geared specifically for dancers, today expanded the brand's offerings with a new line of on-ear headphones. Inspired by the emerging DJ and dance scene, the three STEEZ branded headphones being introduced, EFFECTS (SE-MJ7211), 808 (SE-MJ7511), and DUBSTEP (SE-D10MT), incorporate bold designs, powerful audio reproduction, and exclusive features that make them the ideal listening accessories. The headphones offer a range of cool attributes including different color variations, interchangeable ear pads, swiveling ear cups, and bass control, depending on the model.

"Today's personal electronic accessories are as much about making a fashion statement as they are about listening to music," said Chris Walker, director of AV marketing and product planning for the Home Electronics Division of Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. "These new STEEZ headphones are designed for today's trendy consumers who want to stand out while listening to music with great sound quality."

EFFECTS

The EFFECTS headphones sport a streamlined design, for a more modern look. Available in four distinct colors, black, white, red and brown, the EFFECTS feature an adjustable headband and plush ear pads for a long-lasting comfortable fit. For optimum sound performance, the model is tuned to produce additional low frequencies for music with more bass. The model is also designed to work seamlessly with iPhone and iPod devices, featuring a "Made for iPod and iPhone" in-line microphone for phone calls, with controls for volume, skip/back and answer/end.

The EFFECTS headphones will be available in May with a suggested retail price of $69.99.

808

The STEEZ 808 headphones incorporate the same styling cues as the EFFECTS series, but add a high gloss black finish and increased audio performance by utilizing an exclusive dual driver design. The 808 model, which refers to street slang as "the sound of bass," delivers increased low bass performance from its dedicated 40 mm drivers. Low frequencies response is further enhanced with a unique patent pending bass level control knob located on one side of the headphones. Mid and high frequencies are handled by a second set of 30 mm drivers for clear, dynamic audio reproduction.

The 808 model incorporates white ear pads, and includes the same "Made for iPod and iPhone" in-line microphone with volume, skip/back and answer/end buttons.

The 808 headphones will be available in May with a suggested retail price of $129.99.

DUBSTEP

The DUBSTEP is modeled around the look and feel of DJ style headphones. The model is available in two colors, black and pure white. The headphones feature interchangeable ear pads that can easily be swapped to match the user's mood or attire. The black version is bundled with interchangeable green and orange ear pads, while the white model includes blue and pink options. The DUBSTEP also features a padded and adjustable headband for a comfortable fit for all-day listening, and sports an in-line microphone for answering calls when used with a phone. Like the EFFECTS model, the DUBSTEP headphones are tuned to perform with increased bass response.

The DUBSTEP headphones are currently available with a suggested retail price of $99.99.
