Stock amd heatsink dont know if its on right

My temps are fine, but does it matter which way the heatsink goes, or is it universal? What I mean by that is does it matter if the bracket that clamps the heatsink is at the top or the bottom. I'll post a pic to show you what I mean.

As far as I know AMD coolers can only be put on in one of two directions, either is acceptable.

if it works up there and you can clamp and release it, it is perfectly ok that way. The other acceptable way is to have the latch near the NB cooler, but Im sure there is less room there.

Ya it looked pretty tight so I didn't put it there. Question is if I put an aftermarket cooler on will I even have room for that?

As long as you move your ram over to slot's 3 and 4 that heatsink should fit fine. I have to show off mine now lol.

If you plan on getting an aftermarket heatsink, this is the one to get!

For sure. The highest I've ever seen my CPU was at 39c because I had prime95 going for 24 hours.
