I just upgraded the bios on my MSI MAG X670E motherboard to the latest. When I run the render test using GPU-Z it shows my 4070 TI as PCIe4x16 @x16 1.1. When I fire up 3D it goes to 16 4.0 and then slowly drops to4x16@16 2.0. If I run something like 3DMark it goes to @@x16 4.0@16 4.0 and stays there. Is it my card? Board? or is GPU-Z just not getting it? My frame rates are excellent, with even Indiana Jones, but GPU-Z reports the drop. Just tried Heaven benchmark in a window with GPU-Z open and it still shows 4x16

Any thoughts?

Thanks

The render test is probably too light, if your card goes to max in games, you’re all good

Sounds that way. Normally, MSI Afterburner would show in that little window...it does not. Doesn't even really tax my 4070 TI. I have been testing games and other benchmarks in a Window with GPU-Z open and it stays 4x16@x16 4.0, so I am good enough with that.

Thank You
