Strange Gears 5 performance

My 3900X/Titan Xp system seems locked to 133 fps regardless of settings in Gears 5. My 9900k system hits around 250 fps. I tested on a Ryzen 1700 system as well and got around 150 Fps 720p/low.

Mostly wondering what other people are seeing with low/720p settings with their ryzen 3000 setups.

250ish average here on 720P/Low -- Bouncing up to around 300 sometimes. (3800x / 2080 Super)

Glad to see you getting above 130FPS. I am starting to think it is a bug with the 3900x and the windows store version of the game. Gears 4 is comparable to my 9900k system in peak/average fps.

I tried multiple GPU drivers, a fresh install of windows, multiple ram settings 3200/3600/3800 with decent timings. Nothing seems to make it budge from 133 FPS not a huge deal but it would be nice to average 144fps in MP instead of being stuck at 133.

What power plan are you running in windows? I found on power saving i had some sort of bottleneck going on in low CPU load situations

I've tried both balanced and high performance. I don't see the same behavior in any other game I've tried Forza Horizon 4, Gears 4, Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider.

can you try locking it down to just one CCX (using either task manager or process lasso)?

Why don't you try 2080 Ti with 3900x with the game and see what results you will get? Reinstall the driver and take a look at that again?

I did the performance was actually worse.

This made the problem actually worse specifically in Gears 5 only... tested Witcher 3 and Forza and no issues limiting to 1 ccx.

Witcher 3 and 3dmarks for reference seem fine.

Yeah, full windows clean install. The last 3 Nvidia Drivers. Setting ram to default speed/XMP only. PBO on/off. Fortunately it's only doing it on the Gamepass version on the windows store.

The other odd thing is settings don't matter low/med/high/ultra all stuck at 133fps. The one good thing is during normal campaign/ultra settings even a 2080ti only manages around 120fps but in MP it's a bummer.

Tried over-riding them out of game with NVCP?

Same with Vsync off in NVCP. Stuck at 130 fps.

Wow it was the Bluetooth driver randomly disabled it and bam.

Did you try switching off the SMT and then performing the benchmark?
Try that.

Just disabling Bluetooth fixed it.... Goes into 300fps range now as long as Bluetooth is disabled.

This was a somewhat known issue I've heard on reddit with the Xbox One controller when using BT and even then, it's not on all games AFAIK.

Just ordered a second usb wireless adapter. Works flaweless without the 100fps drop lol.

It seems it's specifically using the Xbox One controller via Bluetooth that causes it. I searched around the interwebs and found a couple other threads with people experiencing the same thing in Minecraft of all games.
