Hi everyone!
I just want to inform everyone that there is a plan for a sequel for this good old game. The game is currently on kickstarter and is called Street Tuning Evolution. The developers are the same as for SLRR (Invictus).
For those of you that never heard of or played SLRR; the game is basically a racing game with heavy focus on modifying and tuning cars. The cars are built from parts, which can be individually replaced/upgraded. Unlike games like gran turismo, the parts has to be dismantled directly by the user using a 3d model of the car. The game also has an extensive physics and damage model( weight affects acceleration, damaged parts has to be repaired/replaced etc.). A test track to try out the car is also available. In other words; the perfect game for car tweaking enthusiasts!! The game has an open world setting, which allows for exploring and racing in the streets, with several racing modes like 1/4 mile, street race etc.
As far as I can remember, there was no multiplayer mode in the original game. The kickstarter project has a stretch goal at 320k USD in which they will add multiplayer support.
