'Grats on going all in for Team Red like moi! :toast: Actually,, since building my rig late 2019 with an R9 3900X + X570, I'd been using a PowerColor RX VEGA64 Red Devil, so basically all in Team Red since 2019. Is yours an RX 6800 XT or vanilla 6800? I ask because GPU-Z shown doesn't include the 'XT'

His specs say 6800XT

Yep, I saw his System Specs, but I asked because his GPU-Z screenshot shows 3840 shaders, specs-wise RX 6800 XT has 4608 shaders. 3840 shaders is what the RX 6800 has.

And the name shown is RX 6800 without xt.

That's why I had asked, OP's system specs had stated RX 6800 XT, but his screenshot is that of an RX 6800. He obviously made a mistake in his system specs, that's all, I don't mean to sound pedantic.

The RX 6800 is an excellent high end card, capable of playing any AAA titles without a problem (forget RT for now, perhaps when FidelityFX Super Resolution is released, RT performance might improve).

Anyway, here's hoping fir widespread availability of the RX 6700 XT so more can join the Team Red.

Does the MERC 319 RX 6800 resemble the MERC 319 RX 6800 XT? I ask because the Nitro+ RX 6800 sure as heck look like the Nitro+ RX 6900 XT, below is a pic from when I'd just gotten the RX 6900 XT compared to the RX 6800, dimension and build wise, they look very similar.....don't let the angle from which I'd taken the pic fool ya, they are exactly the same size.

Oh yeah, in case you're wondering, the RX 6900 XT is in the background......

Its black with merc 319 in big ugly letters but alot of small holes

Ive got a 580 vega 8 and a hd5650

I've got a Ryzen 5 3600 on a B550 mobo, hehe. Looking to make my rig full on red when/if GPU prices come back down to earth...

Been on both sides over the years but I'm full red since 2018.

I don't have a brand 'loyalty' and just buy whatever is best for my wallet but so far I had no issues being on team red.:)

Well its starting to show its age for sure, even more so since I upgraded to a 2560x1080 29" Ultrawide monitor and thats like -10 FPS compared to standard 1080p.
New badly optimized AAA games are a problem but luckily I mainly play older games nowadays and will keep the new games for a new card whenever I can buy that.

I have the card undervolted since late 2018 cause it had issues keeping the boost clock otherwise, also disabled the idle fan setting and instead using a fixed 40% fan speed all the time.
That way it stays between 65-70 celsius during gaming and its silent too. 'can't hear it unless I ramp up the fan speed to 45%+'

Edit:
Its something like this in not too old games, tho I don't like to use presets and rather tweak settings but it still gives you a general idea:

I'm playing Borderlands 3 a lot and that runs alright with the hardware unboxed optimized settings which is like a mix of medium/high/ultra.

Its a nice little budget card imo, I don't really buy high end hardware anyway. 'usually stay in the 250-300$ range for GPUs'
