This monitor is not officially G-Sync compatible, but can work with G-Sync.
The fact that it does not have the label means that this monitor has simply not been tested or that it has been tested,
but has not been found to be good (enough) by Nvidia.
In the driver settings you can check the box for G-Sync and see what happens, at your own risk.
It may work fine, partially work or not work.

FreeSync and G-sync should both 'work', however it will not have all the same 'qualities' as G-Sync or G-sync Ultimate.

Any monitor with VRR through displayport will usually work with Gsync. It doesnt need to be gsync verified. Monitors with "Freesync" support are going to work with gsync. They may not be Gsync ultimate, but you dont need that.

There is no practical difference between Adaptive Sync, GSync and FreeSync anymore. It’s all just marketing labels nowadays. If you like what the screen has to offer otherwise - go for it.

And before someone mentions it - yes, the GSync module does offer guaranteed decently tuned Adaptive Overdrive, but it’s irrelevant for OLED panels anyway.

Just wait with buying a new monitor, just get an 5080 first when they are out and then buy a monitor so you have time to test it with G-Sync.
If it doesn't work as smooth as expected or for whatever other reason, you should still be able to return the monitor.

Of course I am sure. There are no different “implementations” anymore. The industry basically converged on a single way of doing VRR.
Hell, you don’t have to take my word for it. Tim from MUB has a video addressing this specific topic:

What is your point? DP1.4 supports variable refresh rate (GSYNC, Freesync). Get a good DP cable. VRR is supported on Displayport all the way back to 1.2a. HDMI supports it on 2.1

I dont understand what the big confusion is:

dp in this screen is old version not support resolution + 175HZ + 10bit so I must to use hdmi 2.1, and the question is if with hdmi still work gsync because you said dp support for gsync etc..
and vrr it same implemetation like freesync promium pro? and support cable 2.1 hdmi? i just want to know for sure because soon i will get 5080 and replace my 7900XTX.

and another question What do you think about the screen it worth buying mean he is really good or wait more for better?

There is always “something better” just around the corner. It’s pointless to think in these terms. The question is - do YOU like the monitor? Does it do what you want and/or need? If the answer is yes and the price is acceptable for you - go for it. The model itself is fine, no glaring issues to my knowledge.

Pro tip. Wait for reviews.

Physical G-Sync modules are almost a thing of the past. Most of the new monitors support Adaptive Sync through DP, which makes them G-Sync Compatible. Even if they have a "G-Sync" branding on them, it's usually just G-Sync Compatible.

Also, that MSI model is a brand new QD-OLED and the X34 from Acer is an IPS from 2022(?).

Seriously, do some research.

I did and was not sure about somethings but it say in pic nvidia g-sync not certified this mean doesn't support?
and again you talk about dp cable if I use it it work with 8bit only so i must switch to hdmi 2.1 so the question it about it if it really work with that (gsync)

The ones that Nvidia brand as g-sync compatible works well. Most others work, but a few may experience flickering etc. I have seen one example of this.

No. It means that NV didn’t test it, which is whatever, really. Watch Tims video FFS.

It will work with DP and 10-bit just fine. It will use DSC. But yes, HDMI will also support VRR.

Mate, just open DisplaySpec, it literally has all the answers to your questions. It’s a 10 second search.

Actually it doesn't use DSC.

So at 175 Hz you're limited to 8 bit only.

For 175 Hz 10-bit you need to use HDMI 2.1 port.

But again, we are doing the research for OP.

That’s… what? I don’t remember when I last saw a modern display that doesn’t use DSC to improve resolution/refresh support. Bizarre. This feels like a firmware bug, to be honest.
My bad then, then he will have to use HDMI. But that supports VRR anyway, so hey.

Edit: Apparently not a bug, they’ve updated the firmware already and no DSC. Confusing, but fair enough. Should be noted that apparently the firmware update improves HDR performance, so I would say it’s a good idea to grab it.

The problem with DSC is that you can't use DSR/DLDSR with it.

that what i said I need to use hdmi 2.1 for all features that why i ask if hdmi will support gsync you type above dp will support but hdmi too?

@Chomiq
Kinda. It’s a crapshoot, apparently.
The problem with DSC is that you can't use DSR/DLDSR with it.
What this mean DSR/DLDSR?

so it possible to use hdmi and get gsync feature?
