Hi guys, I am trying to find the best way to learn everything from a graphic card like how is data stored and what's the processor render from an image and how does it make it work from the inside hardware of the graphic card.

Thanks in advance!! :)

I'm quite sure you're not trolling but seriously?!

It would help to explain your starting base of knowledge - i.e. if you know anything about the manufacturing process, hardware architectures, software and coding etc. If like me you know nothing, you really need to go to college to start somewhere. To ask how a graphics core works without any starting knowledge would be simply ignorant of how advanced and complex the process is.

I guess just to start somewhere

When you come across a component or a process mentioned then Google that. I don't know of any one site that explains everything about how a video card works so you will probably be going all over the net but eventually you should be able to learn as much as you want to.

If you want to know how graphics work, it is best that you start with the graphics pipeline.
This series is about the best no-nonsense, and easily read feature on the graphics pipeline

You'd be surprised at how often the question gets asked. That, and how GPUs and CPUs differ WRT parellization vs serial workloads seems to be relatively common questions that get bought up time and again.

Always makes for a fun thread though!
OP: How does graphics work?
Reply #1: How do you mean? How do primatives get transformed into 3D representations?
OP: What's a primative?
