At high system load, the temperatures are rising and the cooling systems of notebooks quickly reach their limits: The small-format fans run at full speed and cause a lot of noise, while the notebook components carry the burden of the high temperatures. The lifetime decreases and the performance capacity cannot be utilized completely. Technologies like Intel's Turbo Boost, AMD's PowerTune or NVIDIA's GPU Boost 2.0 are designed to release the full power of CPUs and GPUs, but they strongly rely on the system temperature.

In summary it can be said therefore, that an additional notebook cooler is able to improve the performance of mobile computers in three regards:
  • Longer lifetime by avoiding peak temperatures.
  • Lower noise generation by relieving the internal cooling system
  • Higher performance capability by keeping the temperatures low
With a complete range of models for different target groups and applications, Enermax strengthens the brand position in notebook cooling section. After the all-round cooling pad Aeolus Vegas, the manufacturer reveals three further models.

Aeolus Pure: Pure Elegance
Aeolus Pure is already the third generation of Enermax' successful aluminium notebook cooler series. It is dedicated to users with the highest demands in terms of quality and design. With the brushed aluminium construction and the sturdy steel mesh, the Aeolus Pure is the perfect fit for office and business environments. The low, slightly tilted profile and the wrist rest ensure most comfortable typing experience. To achieve the best possible heat dissipation independent from the particular notebook model, the Aeolus Pure comes with a huge 25cm fan and a wide cooling area. The fan speed can be adjusted in two steps according to the system requirements.
Aeolus Pure (CP003P) costs 37.90 Euro (MSRP incl. VAT).

TwisterOdio 18: Silent Cooler with Crystal-Clear Sound
In many households, notebooks took over the task of a Multimedia center for music, film, games and live streams. But the integrated speakers not always satisfy the needs and expectations of audiophiles: The volume is too low, the basses are roaring and the high tones have a blurring sound. To enjoy a quality audio experience, an external sound system or speakers are absolutely essential. With the new TwisterOdio, Enermax presents a product which supports notebooks in two regards: While the strong 12cm fan relieves the cooling system, the integrated DreamBass amplifier and the full-range satellite speakers optimize the sound output. Optically, the TwisterOdio cooling pad follows the timeless design of the Aeolus series: clean shapes with a brushed aluminium cooling grid. An external power source is not necessary. The cooler draws the required power from one USB port of the notebook. The cooling performance can be seamlessly adjusted between 800-1400 RPM with an integrated speed control knob. MSRP incl. VAT for the TwisterOdio (CP008): 34.90 Euro.

AeroOdio: Deep Bass & Efficient Cooling
Also the third newcomer from Enermax possesses an integrated sound system. But in comparison with the elegant TwisterOdio, the futuristic and striking outlook of the AeroOdio approaches a younger group of customers. The cooler is specially designed for the requirements of gaming notebooks. No matter if you prefer fantasy, racing or real time strategy games - the AeroOdio will not only keep your notebook cool, but will also allow for an adequate sound experience. The full-range speakers and the DreamBass sound chip provide a crystal-clear and well-balanced audio output. The wide cooling area of the cooler supports notebooks with maximum 17-inch and the huge 22cm fan effectively reduces the heat generation of highly loaded notebooks. The AeroOdio comes at a MSRP of 41.90 Euro incl. VAT.
