ThrottleStop limit reasons fix?

Without ThrottleStop, I get really high temps (90-98) while playing Minecraft Windows 10 on servers. With ThrottleStop, I got 78 max temps while playing (I don't usually see a temp decrease) and I have these bars in the limit reasons. Is there any way I can fix/prevent these bars from coming up again? I used to have PL 1 pop up too but I fixed that by going into FIVR and checking "Disable and Lock Turbo Power Limits".
The computer is a MSI GL62M 7RDX
Processor: i7-7700HQ (undervolted by me through ThrottleStop)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2GB (not undervolted or overclocked)
RAM: 16 GB Samsung

Use ThrottleStop 9.5. Versions before 9.0 use the old WinRing0 driver which has a security vulnerability.

Limit Reasons shows BD PROCHOT throttling. You need to clear the BD PROCHOT box on the main screen of ThrottleStop to prevent this.

The core and cache do not need to be undervolted equally. Most people get better results by undervolting the core -50 mV more than the cache. If -125 mV is stable, run Cinebench R23 for a baseline run. Bump the core up to -150 mV and test again. Do another test at -175 mV for the core and see if you are still stable and if there are any improvements in performance or temperatures.

Set IccMax for the core and the cache to the maximum, 255.75.

The 7700HQ has a 45W TDP rating. Is there any reason you have lowered the turbo power limits? Intel CPUs can run reliably at 90°C and a little beyond. Improve the cooling if you have cooling issues. You are power limit throttling your computer. That is what the PL1 and PL2 bars in Limit Reasons mean.

Disable and Lock Turbo Power Limits

In the new versions of ThrottleStop this has been changed to the MMIO Lock box. Check that box to accomplish the same thing as what Disable and Lock does.

Thanks, also should I use pre-made undervolt profiles? The profile I was using in the screenshot came from this forum link and I was wondering if it was ok or generally a bad idea to use them. It was also the reason the turbo power limits were lowered.

I prefer to set my own power limits and offset voltages. A profile you found on a forum might be an OK starting point but you still need to test your CPU in your laptop.

So I updated my ThrottleStop settings and my computer is stable at -175mV for core and -125mV for cache. I followed your advice and I get high temps playing Roblox Funky Friday (ridiculously high temps). Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here or any tips to cool my laptop any more? I'm still being throttled too. (I'm using the Cooler Boost fan setting.)

The 7700HQ is a 45W CPU. The cooling system should be able to handle cooling a 45W CPU.

Your screenshot shows the CPU reaching 99°C when running at only 21.2W which is less than half of the rated power. That is a cooling issue. You need to disassemble your laptop to find out what is going on. Have you cleaned it inside in recent memory? If blowing the dust out does not fix this problem then you need to replace the thermal paste. Something is definitely wrong with the cooling. Adjusting the voltage can help a little but it cannot be used to fix a major cooling issue.
