Titan X Pascal (2016) question

Hey

I've been looking into buying a 1080Ti when I came across a what seems to be a decent deal on a used TX Pascal (2016)

Is this card a good buy ? The guy asks 3100PLN. New 1080Ti FEs go for around 3300PLN, non-reference like Gaming X or Strix cost 3500PLN.

Does the warranty transfer to me if he sends me the invoice and gives me his nvidia account ?

The card has not been used for mining, it's been utilized in a gaming rig

Yeah you want with the warranty.

Personally I wouldn't buy a used GPU...

I would rather get a new 1080 ti with full warrenty. The first titan pascal and 1080 ti is performence whise very little difference.

Unless you want that 12 gb vram over 1080 ti's 11 gb vram. I would get a new card. Up in that price range baying used card is to risky in my opinien. Its alot of money and with a used card you risk getting scammed. This very commen in my country sadly.

Agree. Definitely go for a new card with that price difference and if you can get one with a game thrown in for free so much the better.

If he can make it something like 60% the price of a new 1080 Ti then perhaps it's worth it without the warranty.

Yes, definitely.

Also, the Titan X from 2016 has the same shader count as the 1080ti. The 2017 Titan Xp has the higher full, GP102 count at 3840 cores.

IF you can find a Titan from EVGA, I know there warranty is transferable.....OR as others have said a new 1080TI with a full warranty, you can always get the current games another time.

The stock cooler for the Titan isn't amazing so unless you are planning to watercool it I'd go for a non reference 1080ti. You will get better performance and less noise.

If you were considering watercooling the Titan could be an interesting option if the price is right..

Titan X Pascal has more VRAM, more ROPs, and higher core OCs. How exactly is a GTX 1080 Ti better? Oh...because the TPU GPU database says so...I see.

Oh wait...there's that memory speed thing. I guess there's that. But it doesn't seem to account for much.

Stock for stock the 1080ti clocks higher which makes that difference.

Oh and I didn't look at the TPU database so yeah, nice ego you have there.

It's not evga,it's nvidia. They're the only ones sellings Pascal Titans unlike Maxwell Titans which even came with non-reference coolers.

Add to that a 384bit bus width for the Titan vs the lesser 352bit bus width for the 1080ti.

just had the doubt, cuz GTX 1080 still enough for your 1440p display, makes a little bit moar sense to get GTX 1080ti over the titan you want, also got curious, SLi is not an option for you?

Enough means very little when you're on a 144hz display. Ever since I got myself a 5775c I've been looking into pushing close to 144 fps.
Only thing is the 1080Ti, if I ever buy one, will probably be replaced by a more efficient Volta card once they come out and that'll feel like a bad purchase since I pay a lot of attention to my rig's noise levels. It was the whole reason for purchasing a 5775c with those new ram sticks, to make it run cooler and therefore quieter.

I would say a 1080 Ti is a good match for 1440p + 144 Hz. I would maybe be overkill for 1080p but not 1440p.
