Being the successor to the ROCCAT Burst Pro Air, the ambidextrous Burst II Air is much lighter at just 46 g, despite having a solid shell. PixArt's PAW3395 sensor sees use, along with Titan optical switches for the main buttons, and up to 120 hours of battery life are cited when using Bluetooth.

It’s not… bad. But in a world where things like Scyrox V8 and VXE R1 exist the 100 dollar price seems like a meme, to be honest.

@Chaitanya
It’s crazy to me that everyone isn’t jumping on the web based approach or at least does the portable lightweight software thing like EGG. These bloated suites look anachronistic nowadays, yeah.

I do not get these kind of gaming mouse. They are like a basic regression in micing. You have lesser buttons in a higher MSRP package.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
Looks like it's still Roccat which is good.

The updated Swarm software is definitely welcome, though I had no complaints with the dated-looking original, since it was quick to install, easy to set-and-forget, and doesn't need to be running all the time - which is a huge improvement over the Logitech/Corsair/Razer bloatware that nags you incessantly with promotions, gets updates several times a month, and throws a hissyfit if you deny it internet access.

This is another very expensive mouse though, and it's a shame Turtle Beach aren't making wired, less flashy models. The old Burst Core and Burst Pro are going to offer a damn-near identical experience to this (albeit with a cable) and those cost £15 and £30 respectively over here in the UK, which is a lot less than the £99 MSRP of this Burst II Air. Given that this isn't anything fancy with (perfectly acceptable) 1000Hz polling and pedestrian features, it's difficult to shrug off the cynicism that this would have been a sub-$50 mouse if it was sold by Roccat, and Turtle Beach have just doubled the price because they've put their logo on it.
