Hi, I have an Aorus Master X570 Gigabyte v1.0 with Bios F11 since 2 years but I have from time to time BSOD with mostly mssecflt.sys as showed culprit.
Ram is 2X CMW32GX4M2C3200C16 Corsair Vengeance (I never did any overclocking) CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.
I'm pretty sure this is a hardware problem as I already did "all" that could do on the Software side.. SFC /SCANNOW - DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and so on...
Anyway my question is :
Can I upgrade straight to the latest BIOS F36f to check if it help (I have dual BIOS on this board).
I never upgraded the AMD drivers, should I do this before updating the BIOS ?
Do I have to upgrade other drivers too ?
Snappy driver show me this (but I don't know if they are needed for my 3700X CPU)

Thank you for your help

I always say only update the BIOS as a last resort if your having problems. Your having problems so besides the newest drivers, it can't hurt the situation.

I only suggest just not to update for people in general while troubleshooting, is because it adds one more variable when a systems unstable.

You could try a fresh install first - I had some issues that all seems to be fixed by a fresh install and update to latest windows 11 version. If that dosnt fix it then just take the newst bios. Remember that you can create bios prinscreens with F12 and save them on a USB stick - that will make setting bios up after bios update easier

Thank you for your help ! So I should update all the drivers show above in the screenshot ? And then the Bios.
I use to clone my main HDD every week so I could try on the cloned disk and as I have the dual bios, I could try to update it and if it's worst, switch to the "original" F11 Bios. Does this seem safe to you ?

I think that I upgraded from the same F11 but to F35e this summer. I grabbed the latest chipset AMD driver from AMD.com afterwards and thats it. No problems and as you say it’s a dual BIOS.

In fact I am doing some testing since a few weeks and it appear that the BSOD only appears if I Power on my PC FROM STANDBY.
If I'm doing a cold boot (No power to the pc the Power ON) I NEVER had BSOD in 5 weeks...
But of course I really would like shutdown to standby as it is so convenient.
I do not really have time to check the BIOS update for now....

F11 is way too old BIOS version (more than 3 years old) and since a lot of things has been rectified.
I suggest you go at least to ver. F35

It’s pretty easy to update it these days, from within the BIOS it self. Q-flash page and it takes 5-10min.
Take it from someone who flashed his board with 20+ different BIOS versions.
And I always flashing both BIOSs together.

What ever may go wrong, the board still has BIOS Flashback button that can reflash the board to whatever version even after a broken BIOS upgrade.

I think the problems may be windows powermanagement that is unstable due to the resume from standby - I dont use that setting because my whole setup with 3 monitors use to much power in standby so I always power off an shut it all of at the wall when not in use - we do pay a pleanty sum for power in Denmark :)

Thank you all for your help :)
Seem like my problem is solved :) I have to specify that the BSOD occurred ONLY some random time after goin out of Stanby mode. I Installed AMD drivers from amd.exe and now after 2 weeks no more BSOD (I had up to 4 BSOD a week) . Crossing finger !
