HI Folks,
I am not a gamer but I would like to get into photoshop to alter/improve some of my old photos. I know the current full blown version of photoshop has some heavy demands on
cpu processing and memory and right now have only 16GBB but I plan to add another 16Gb. Is it worth my while to upgrade my cpu and if yes what recommendations do you have?
Thanks

upgrade to a 12600K or Upgrade From a 12600K??

32GB of memory is pretty normal amount these days, that might be a more useful upgrade depending on the answer to the above question.

12600k does fairly well in photoshop, are you not seeing results you expected or just want something faster?

If you meant upgrade FROM a 12600K:
I have never used photoshop but I doubt that anything more than a 12600K will give you a performance boost for photo editing (any ps users please correct me if I am wrong).

If you meant upgrade TO a 12600K:
The 12600K is a solid choice for an upgrade.

The ram upgrade is also a good choice, even for general heavy use.
