Customer Destroyed PS5 with Liquid Metal - Warranty Repair Rejected

When I caution against people doing certain things with their hardware when it appears they don't know what they are doing, this video is going to come to mind.

If you can afford a brand new replacement if the product is out of warranty then it's always worth a punt to try DIY, that should be the general consensus.
Or you just use it until it breaks, by then you should have the funds for replacement.

This is too funny. Remember all the jokes of... rapidly ejecting boat loads of paste onto the heat spreaders? This is it. Now because this bright individual decided to go an extra mile (and 500 more), they/them went for the best there is: liquid metal!

Consoles are often used in the craziest conditions, inside TV cabinets, near carpets, smokers, cats, etc. - the target audience of gaming consoles overall has next to zero tech acumen and not only that, they aren't even remotely interested in learning anything about it either.

This one was one of the more "industrious" guys who decided to look up how to fix a PS5 on YouTube, except he visibly didn't know the first thing about electronics and failed both physics and chemistry back in high school.

Apparently does, as it comes with an LM applied from the factory. Many people use the LM on a PS4 as well. These consoles may sound similar to the gaming laptops, which can be really annoying. This unfortunate PS5 owner had used the whole syringe it seems. It's not even funny tbh.
