Can anyone help me figure out how to play Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines in 1920x1200? I have a 24' Samsung monitor.

Anyway, I just installed the game for the first time on this machine. I also downoaded and installed patches, and the latest one I installed has been the unofficial 5.2. I have not yet played the game - I am trying to get it to the 1920x1200 before playing it.

Thank you!!

Check out the Widescreen Gaming Forums.

Do a search for Bloodlines, and all the help you need is there :)

As of now I'm still searching. I went to the Widescreen Gaming Forums and so far I have not found anything that helps. There are basically two options that I find: do it manually or do it through a patch, but neither say whether it will work at the 5.2 patch. Entries look old and the 5.2 patch isn't mentioned, and it's the one I have. I suppose I will try those options and see if they work.

You'll have to try it and see. There is no other way I've found.

It worked! Thanks!!

I really hope I'll enjoy that game. I'm running out of good RPG's!!

I've finished Bioshock, and The Witcher, and some other ones, and now I'm dying for something new and good to play. I hope I get into the story in Bloodlines. Such a hard time picking my clan! After this I'm thinking of ordering Gothic and giving that a try and other RPG's I find recommended.

Thanks again!

Bloodlines uses Source, so try this:

bloodlines.exe -width 1920 -height 1200

I don't have the game, so I don't know the filename, but just add those switches.

EDIT: I see you've already found it ;).

Bloodlines is FAR superior to The Witcher. I never even completed it, got so boring in the end. I must have replayed Bloodlines about 20 times, and I'm considering it again. It's amazing, the best single player game I have ever played bar Baldurs Gate.

Bloodlines uses Source, so try this:

bloodlines.exe -width 1920 -height 1200

Yes, but it uses a very early version of Source (before the leak), and hence doesn't have the optimisations and features inherent in the final version.
