Equipped with PixArt's latest PAW3950 sensor and weighing 60 g, the right-handed ergonomic E1 essentially is VAXEE's take on an updated EC2. 4000 Hz wireless polling is supported, and VAXEE cites up to 110 hours of battery life.

Interesting that the pricing comparison is with Razer, Asus and Logi and not with the most obvious alternative - the EC2-CW. I mean, it’s basically a coin-toss as to which to choose, but I feel like paying a tad more to get the excellent receiver/charger from Zowie might be worth it if one is set on this (admittedly GOAT) shape and don’t mind spending?

Vs the EC2-CW - and I own that and the E1 fluorescent.

E1 hands down.
Over 15 grams lighter.
Vastly superior front clicks - lighter actuation - faster rebound - Superior rhythm and drag clicking.
Vastly superior side clicks - not mushy and reduced pre and post-travel.
Improved shape - The balance leans towards 50/50, and no top slits and grooves to collect dirt and grime like EC2.
The E1 is slightly shorter and that helps tremendously with micro adjustments and finger tipping.

The dock receiver for Zowie just takes up space. I respect those that enjoy it but I don't see any benefit. Unplugging a dongle and plugging in a mouse takes two seconds. If saving 2 seconds is important to you....sure I guess.

Cheers .

Good post overall, but funnily that would be an actual con for me - I enjoy heavier clicks, I am one of those weirdos who LIKED old Zowie Huanos. Never cared how “spammable” clicks are. And, uh, I am afraid to ask, but does anyone outside of Minecraft even do drag clicking unironically?

The E1 is slightly shorter and that helps tremendously with micro adjustments and finger tipping.
Point, but I wouldn’t fingertip a medium ergo in the first place. Though that also is entirely personal preference - some people indeed very much do.

Yeah the firmness of the Zowie can indeed be a benefit. 100% agree. I fatigue pretty quickly but it does indeed feel precise.
I don't drag click...lol.... But for so many people it's a selling feature.

As for finger tipping, if you have large hands everything becomes a fingertip mouse. There's virtually no contact on the back of my hand even for the larger Zowie. People with large hands are usually giving up on the bloated bar of soap big mice. You either go for something like a Waizowl or just deal with fingertipping medium and smaller ones.

Best regards ⚡

Oh and I forgot the other best part.
Coating.

With the E1 Vaxee has literally perfected it.
Soft touch feel with just the right amount of grip and it's got tremendous durability.
Zowie is way behind.

Doesn't really matter if the user is into grip tape but if you're not....again my Vaxee like it's outlined in the review - One of the world's best.
