Guys,

I came from a long path starting with a Voodoo, ATI Rage Fury Pro, X600XT, X800 GTO, X800Xt, X1950XT, 3070, R9 something i dont even remember. My last acquisition was 6x Vega 64 and 3x RX580(yes, i was a miner)in 2017.
PS. I blame Wizard for it;)

I do know that this is probably the worse time in history to migrate to Nvidia but im decided.
ive started searching for the 9070 XT...

Gigabyte RX 9070 XT GAMING OC US$1013

Sapphire PULSE US$ 1136

Asus Prime US$ 1101

XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT OC Magnetic Air Edition US$1101

So, because of the prices...maybe its time to change. I do know im against the trend.
Here in Brazil the prices are a little higher. I do need a help to decide about the model since i know nothing about those cards. Looking the 5070 prices....i think people are avoiding the 12G non TI because those cards are way cheaper.
I do have 3 stores to choose(Kabum, Terabyte and Pichau) and those are the candidates:

From Terabyte store

Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Eagle OC Ice SFF GV-N507TEAGLEOC ICE-16GD US$ 1206 PS. This is the white one. The black(same model but black) is US$ 1346 for some reason.

Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti WINDFORCE SFF GV-N507TWF3-16GD US$ 1224

Those are the cheapest there and i was thinking eagle was better than windforce but now im not sure.

From Pichau Store

Palit GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Pro NE7507T019T2-GB2031A US$ 1206

There are 2 Windforce models here, one OC, at the same price US$ 1224

MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X OC G507T-16V3C US$1258

Kabum Store

MSI Geforce RTX 5070 TI 16G VENTUS 3X OC G507T-16V3C US$ 1258 PS. There's a discount coupon offering 5% off...not sure if its valid.

Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti WINDFORCE SFF 9VN507TW-00-G10 US$ 1224

So guys, i was tending to go with the Gigabyte 5070 TI eagle OC for US$1206. Am i wrong? I fell like if i dont buy Nvidia now, i may never buy one....Its now or never.

The 5070 Ti is 3-4% faster than 9070 XT at all resolutions, unless you need CUDA or any other NV exclusive feature I would say save yourself $200 and get a 9070 XT

Edit: b4 but RT :kookoo: that 3-4% translates to 13% - 17% with RT on

Seconded, FSR4 is really good too, and comes out in full force on June 7th in an AMD presentation (I think) so maybe wait until June 7th and watch the FSR4 presentation, and then decide.

9070XT Sapphire or XFX.

AMD has closed the distance quite a bit with NV in terms of feature parity and I would not say that NV justifies the $100/10% extra price unless you are using your card for CUDA/work purposes.

For pure gaming, 9070XT is the way to go.

Don't buy Gigabyte no matter who, they're having some funky issues with their thermal paste this gen.

To go against the grain here, I would buy Nvidia haha.

How much do they ask for still-on-warranty used 4080 and 4080 Super? Might be the best amongst the worst.

Rarely are warranties transferable, definitely better to buy new unless you can get an amazing deal on a used card and willing to accept that you won't have warranty on it

Depends on the country I guess. In Russia, for example, if I have a receipt for a GPU it doesn't matter who bought it.

In Brazil will be hard to find a 4080 with warranty and even used they are overpriced. It will be close to 1000 and maybe more....
There's a new 4080 for 2000 in the store...

Ill decide this weekend.
Still accepting any

I think you're best option right now is probably the 5070. It sucks that you are only getting 12GB of VRAM on such an expensive but everything everything else is even more overpriced.

I agree with @anonuser57. If the 5070 non-Ti is significantly cheaper (you didn’t mention by how much) - that would be my play. There is no world in which either the 9070XT or the 5070Ti are worth 1000+ bucks, even considering Brazilian pricing shenanigans. It’s honestly just isn’t worth it. So either wait (though no guarantee that would help) or grab the regular 5070. Of course, also depends on how long you keep your hardware - if it’s like 5 years or even more, well, then spending big MIGHT be justified. Not really, but the market is shit.

Those prices are normal in Brazil. We do have a federal import tax of 50% flat. After that, my state will add a nice 28%. I think the stores are not playing all the taxes....
The cheapest 5070 will be US$875, several 875-900, and theyll go way up to US$1100.

The prices feel like a glitch in the matrix and since we're stuck in it, between them the 9700 XT makes the most sense. In the UK the price difference between the 9700 XT and 5070 TI is 10%, which makes for a nice saving and has me leaning on the cheaper of the two. Down your neck of the woods, its almost 20%... easy choice.

How much are you willing to spend in Real? Most of the cards mentioned are in the 6500 to 8000 range, but there are solid options within 10% above or below that. I'm also Brazilian so I can help you make a better decision given our country's context. On the green camp, the 5070 Ti Eagle OC Ice at 6799 (Pichau) seems like the best bang for buck to me, other than the 5080 GameRock at 8799 (also Pichau). 9070 XT Taichi for 6459 (Pichau too) is also an excellent choice. Being honest, between the 5070 Ti Ice and the 9070 XT Taichi, I'd tell you to just buy the Taichi and bury that debate outright :)

I would choose the SFF card, simply because I can reuse them in a SFF case later :D

The 5070Ti is much more efficient, combining with the usage of DLSS4 and MFG, you can put the 5070Ti SFF in a small case and enjoy FPS that easily exceed the monitor refresh at all time.

I already built 2 SFF PCs with 4080S for friends, they work great.

The 9070xt seems the better value on paper, but that highly depends on how much you value RT and PT performance. If you want to enable RT in your games the 5070ti is worth it, if not go for the 9070xt

EG1. Im comparing the 1013$ 9070xt to thet 1206$ 5070ti. There is no point in going for a higher mode / more expensivel 9070xt, in that case just grab the 5070ti.

fk those prices bruh, how much is a used 6800 xt on ebay in your country?

We use Mercado Livre (Libre) here in Brazil. With few exceptions, priced on used products are generally rotten, if not because the seller greatly overestimates their goods, it'll be because of platform fees (18%)

Valid concern, too. Personally in that situation I would go for the 9070 XT Taichi, or maybe see if it's possible to stretch the budget for the 5080 Gamerock they have on sale.

just curious, how much is the 9070? It's not that far behind in performance, and sometimes the prices are considerably lower. it's still a good card with a lot of longevity in it and when the price is $300-400 cheaper than 5070ti and $200 cheaper than 9070XT, sometimes that 5-10% performance difference is much less noticeable than the price lol. For example, 9070 can be had for $650-790 in the US right now while the 9070XT is ~$850-900 and 5070ti is ~$900-1050.

Not sure about Brazil but in Russia, we have this:

1060 and 1170 USD respectively (sans VAT, it's 884 and 975 USD respectively). Probably something similar in Brazil.

Since AMD can't into CUDA my choice would've been obvious but I hate overpaying that much for a GPU so I'm waiting until prices go sane or my GPU passes away.

ya, we are reaching a point where you don't need the latest and greatest anymore. take my 7900 xt for example. my backlog is so fast, im having no trouble at all getting 240 fps 240hz in all my backlog games, which right now im trying to work through Metro 2033 and all the Metro games. and they look incredible maxed out. this new AAA requiring RT on shit, yeah i will play those games someday, but in like 5 years. my backlog is so vast, i really have no desire to play any of the new titles right now.

Monster Train 2 and Slay the Spire 2 being the only exceptions for launch day releases this year. Which is another point in my favor, the indie gaming scene is so damn good these days, we simply don't need the latest and greatest anymore.

I'm currently revisiting Max Payne 1&2 games and enjoying myself in FIFA 09 and Worms: Armageddon. They lot work funky with my 4K screen but still enjoyable. And not requiring anything fancy for a GPU.

But I want CUDA support for some projects of mine... Will prolly never monetise them so it can wait.
