Hi, been a long time since last post.

i will be building a new gaming pc soon in time for the next GTA installment, and wish to go big on audio since i am now a homeowner and have no neighbors on the other side of the wall.

i really want the big sound like i get from my living room setup with a bose soundbar coupled with 2 bass modules . (About $2300 for all 3 parts)

i saw razor has a pc soundbar and base module, but im really doubting its quality at its price point, id have to hear it first i guess. ($250-500)

i already have good quality speakers (logitech thx), with a base module, but its nothing like the living room setup, so i want a big upgrade, something thats night and day different from my current $150 set.

is there any pc speaker setups in the $500-$1500 range that will shake the pictures on the walls in the rooms down the hall while still having crisp highs and mids?

thanks for your time.

Don't look at PC speakers, just connect a proper receiver and a set of passive speakers plus a 200W~ish subwoofer.

1500,- gets you a lot of noise that way. Sound bar, eh. Not great. Separate, passive, satellite speakers plus separate sub are best; or two very solid bookshelf speakers, but a separate sub is great to have imho.

Been using such a setup for >12 years now, still going strong, had to change the sub in year 6 (the only active part of the system, and it went poof). So its pretty durable too. Receivers can practically live forever, passive speakers close to it. See system specs. Sound bars don't have this advantage: if one speaker or internal component breaks (they're active speakers!) you can toss the whole thing away. Whereas a new subwoofer can cost 100-150,- and connect to anything.

I got a Creative Stage V2 for my room. I am not sure it could fill a living room but that thing has me looking for the Oldest Reggae I can find on Youtube.

I just bought a JBL Bar 700.. it’s pretty decent. Sounds better than the system I built about 13 years ago using NAD, Mission, and Monitor Audio.

JBL LSR2310SP is a good subwoofer that can be had cheap on Ebay. You'll need XLR cables, though. It'll do the rumble allright.

If you want the bass to sound good (not just loud), you almost certainly have to treat your room a bit. At least with bass traps.

Go used gear.

I have like a 20 year old Sony stereo/amp, a pair of Baby II Cerwin Vegas for highs, and an ancient Sony sub. It will shake more than my house!
