My electric Waterpik flosser suddenly stopped working. Initially, the On/Off button malfunctioned, but the pump continued to operate, albeit without speed control. A few days later, the pump ceased functioning entirely. Upon inspection, I discovered a broken thermal fuse.
I bypassed the fuse by directly connecting the pump, which restored its operation. However, the water pressure remains low compared to normal levels. The On/Off button still has no effect, and the speed cannot be adjusted.
I measured the voltage supplied to the pump at 128 volts DC, which seems correct. However, I suspect that if the device were functioning properly, changing the speed would alter the voltage, thereby adjusting the pump speed.
Unfortunately, neither the voltage nor the speed changes when I attempt to adjust the speed setting.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? Could you please advise on how to inspect and resolve it? Thank you!
