Weird whitebar in Win11 explorer

Hey, Explorer on Win11 on my laptop has a weird white bar (just above the address bar) that I can't seem to remove.



Normal windows 11 explorer:

Bugged(?) windows 11 explorer:

(First screenshot is from my desktop (1920x1080 100% scaling), second screenshot is from my laptop (2880x1800 150% scaling) hence the size difference)

Any ideas how to fix this?

anything except 100% scaling is broken on windows since it was implemented.

How to fix White bar at the top in File Explorer in Windows 10 / 11​

1 – Press Windows key and R key together from keyboard to open run.

2 – Now, write regedit in run command box and click OK.

3 – Now, go to the following path in registry editor.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

4 – Now, in the right side , double click on locked and make sure the value is 1.

5 – Once you set the value to 1, close the registry and restart your PC.

This should help you resolve the problem.
