Dual-chambered fishtank cases in the style of the Lian Li O11 have undoubtedly been taking over modern case design over the last few years. I'm personally a massive fan of beQuiet!'s Light Base series (big, lots of fan and radiator support, tasteful RGB, and did i mention big?), but I'm curious what the general consensus is.

The only ones I like are actual fish tanks for immersion cooling. I don't get to build enough of them these days.

I have Lian Li OD 11 Dynamic XL ROG, IMO out of the box is a bad case, bad grills, glass panel to close to GPU exhaust, poor support for 14cm fans, etc, that is why I modified the case.to get EVO(better grills) you have to pay even more. I regret getting this case.

For me, this is easy;

It's modular in the respect that you can use it standing up as usual, OR laying down like the old Coolermaster HAF XB Evo, which is the way I like it.

I actually had a fish tank. recently I did a build with one of these types of cases. When you have parts that can pull 300+ Watts, airflow becomes most important. Give me a G500A or 5000D airflow before any of these. There is also the fact that my PC sits on the floor so I don't need to see inside.

My pick is the Hyte Y70 not so much for the screen but because of the colorway available and how it has more rounded edges which makes it look less like a box and more of a display case. Down side thougj forced use of risers and no bottom rad option, reducing modularity for a fish tank case is a no no.

If I had the chance to do it all again I would pick the Corsair 6500x.

NZXT OPEN GLASS CASE

No question, it’s any of the Phanteks NV series, NV5, NV7, or NV9 depending on how big of a case you want. I absolutely love my NV7. They look great, all metal/quality parts and great airflow. Or if you want to get even crazier, go with the Evolv X2 which looks like nothing else on the market right now.

Would probably have to go back to my 2003 UV Acrylic case.

BTW I still have it : )
