what Graphics card is best for me in an 300$ budget?

I was looking forward to build my own pc but I'm not too sure what kind of graphics card is best for me in an 300$ budget.

Got a 2060 super at $285 on ebay. I got an offer of 5700xt pulse at $330 last week but I didn’t want it coz I snipe the 2080ti at $680

for used one you can go for gtx1070/1070ti/1080 with that $300, for brand newcard i think 1660/1660ti is the best choice, im afraid you cant pick amd new tech, it cost more than $300 for rx5700 just for blower type(mostly avoided), another optional probaly just pay for used rx580($60-100) , new rx590 retail($200), or used rx56/64 if you could found cheapest one

5700(xt) is definitely the main contender imo

gtx1070/1070ti/1080 with that $300

Don't buy any GP104 if it's not very close to $200, they aren't worth anything near $300 nowadays

RX 5700 on sale, if not, used Vega 56 or 64. GTX 1080 if you want something that works out of the box and the 5700 isn't available.

Depends if it went through a miner's abuse.

When you get a used card clean fans and heatsink first then boot, if it boots then that is half the battle, get gpu-z screenshots and get model number info/sku/pn from back of card and to to card makers site and verify clocks.

Gpu-z will tell you what current and default clocks are, if they aren't matching then the cards bios was screwed with, that's where we can assist you restoring the stock bios in most cases.

Once you know, have thermal compound ready such as Arctic MX2/4 and take card apart, clean gpu die and heatsink, apply fresh thermal compound to gpu die, put card back together.

About 5-10 percent of cards that went through mining wont work at stock speeds anymore. A good indicator is heavy dust/dirt.

Ask whether it's a mining card, if so agree that the card has to be provided with the stock vbios and ask whether the seller has spare fans for it.

Alternatively just find a card that wasn't mined on... They aren't particularly hard to find

For 300$ it's not worth it to buy used, save up a bit more and get a 5700 if that's necessary.

Because for 300$ it's unlikely you'll find something better used, at best you're looking at a GTX 1080/Vega 64. Why buy something old, less powerful, less power efficient with no warranty just to spare about 50$.

If you do insist on getting something used then an RX 5700 is still the best choice for 300$.

as airmain alr explain clear, i will just say a bit abt used card, ex mining card isnt rly bad, the only scary case is becouse they abusing to run 12hour aday, some even push it tu run nonstop for mining, it depend our luck maybe, as for me i dont have any issue buying ex miningcard, i think 4-5times i pay for ex miner card i forgot it, those card only dirty, i just need to clean em and everything worked like a charm, anyway i prefer pay for miner card instead maniac whom do abuse the card by extremly ocing it, and play like crazy one 10hour aday
when you alr buy it, it is easy to analyzng used card just make a testrun 2hour ingame at leash, make the test extreme as possible, without external cooler/ac/whatever, overclock as fast as possible or whatever, see if it can run stable or not, if its passed, then lucky you, you just got cheapest hidden gem, thats it
note: my oldest collection is ati 102 & gtx260+, those card alr around decade and still worked, so a luck had important role too i suposse

yes 5700 model sky rocketing, but here xt model drop sightly, i think it becouse someone manage to flash xt performance with non xt, you should praise or maybe blaming the "person" whom make it work, its agood news for gamer, & bad news for seller
