What Is Chassis Jumper For?

A lot of my boards have a jumper called CHASSIS, what does this do?!

I think it allows you to set up a security option that will post a warning if the case is opened.

yea it is you can buy devices that you plug into that jumper best to leave it at what ever your boards default setting is for it unless you actually have the device to plug into it

Some mobo's have the connection on them too.

Yea, I've seen them on a few old OEM PC's. When connected, they stopped the PC powering on if the case is open. Needless to say, it's very annoying when troubleshooting/testing components.
