What mouse DPI setting do you use in FPS games?

Using a 27" 1440p display, i set my DPI sensitivity options to 1200-1600-1800-2000 and toggle between them whilst gaming depending on the style of play (mostly fast paced FPS MP titles).

What sensitivity settings do you guys use?

My razer basilisk v3 goes all the way up to 26000 and i can't even manage 2600 whilst gaming - what gives?

I have a 3440x1440 34" monitor and use 2000 dpi on Windows desktop and most games. Usually higher for more modern FPS's around 2100-2300. My dpi settings are at 1000, 2000 (default), 3000. Lots of old games get wonky, such as the GOG version of Blood or Hexen 2 having incredibly high sensitivity.

29" 2560x1080 monitor and I pretty much use only 1 DPI setting for everything I play and if a game feels 'off' then I adjust the sensitivity in the game.
With my current mouse its at 2000 DPI and it feels ok to me tho I do not play competitive games at all. 'I do have 1k+ hours in Borderlands 3 tho which is an FPS'

From what I remember I've been using 1500-2000 for years now depending on the mouse and its been fine for me.

a higher DPI (to a certain point before the sensor starts smoothing with software) equals in lower response times.
i use 1600 since at least 10 years and imo it's perfect for every resolution in windows and games.

I've been using 1200 for around 15 years now. I really can't use anything else anymore with it feeling weird.

800 IIRC. I never found dpi to make any difference really.

850 because it's the most comfortable for general use, then, if necessary, I just use in-game sensitivity sliders on a per-game basis.

@wheresmycar are you using mouse acceleration at all? We have similar pixel density and 3000 dpi isn't that difficult for just the desktop (or at least for me it isn't).
