XTIA 92 to 120mm bracket to employ A12x15 on the L6x65

pretty nifty solution to hold the bracket to the cooler using Noctua's fan clips

It doesn't seem to make much difference, as expected from a weak cooler like L9x65 on an 8 core, but more airflow never hurt nobody

Heh, I remember those adapter-shrouds from back in the day. Used to have a 60mm->80mm one in my S462 cooler about 20yrs ago :laugh:

For the PC facing the north end of my room, I have the Asus ROG Strix B550-F in the Fractal Focus G case and the motherboard does not take long to boot at all.

The ASRock B550 PG Velocita seems to take longer to boot! The second one may be worse in this department, despite the same UEFI-BIOS version, which is P 2.40

Also picked up one of these, in white. No RGB trash is allowed to touch my Lone L5, just using the same ol A12x15.

AXP120-X67 – Thermalright

It appears to cool pretty similarly to the Big Shuriken 3 which is fine. Obviously better than L9x65. Between the AXP120-x67, BS3 and upcoming IS-67-XT, it seems to boil down to specific compatibility. Clearance is good unlike the BS3, but the I/O cover is a close fit.

Looks like I finally lucked out with Thermalright, this sample is perfect. No quality issues so far, and the white finish is divine.

New CPU block today to replace my HK IV basic acrylic. The block itself is so heavy, the mount and backplates are pretty thick too. Time to retire the nice EK backplate.

I think atm its one of the best. It was £120 though. Could not afford so much when i got the HK that's why i got the basic not pro which i guess would have been better.

Just got new tubing and fluid too. Well busy evening for me i guess.

I got a good deal as I got the Alphacool Eissturm Hurricane 240 kit for 189EUR

-Eisblock XPX
-XT45 240mm copper rad
-Eisbecher DDC

Though the pump died later as I accidentaly ran it dry and I had to get an another one but anyway, still going right now. Distilled water as coolant.

A12x15 on AXP120-X67

Like other recent Thermalright coolers (ie. SI-100), AXP120-X67 has a metal support bracket that helps prop up the finstack on the side opposite the heatpipes, should help prevent sag over time like C14S and L12S are prone to.

It would have been nice to include the 4770R and 6785R as well, but annoyingly they are BGA only.

Outside of this, I have a hobby of collecting processors. Once all of this is done they'll find their way with the rest of them onto a wall-mounted display. I thought it might be cool to showcase AMD and Intel throughout the years.
