Here in the US, I can't find any. It was fine like a month ago, and now they are all gone. I need one for my build in the summer.

AI hype swept them off the shelves and AMD isn't producing a lot of them to restock. And I doubt they will, 9070 will cover the gaming segment while other resources are better spent trying to sell Instinct MI series to the AI crowd for way more than XTX costs.

Probably all being used to run DeepSeek R1.

Now gamer's don't have to worry about miners but Ai stealing all their GPUs. \o/ j/k

No 7900 XTs available either. AMD users will (eventually) need to make do with 16GB in the 9070 as you get no 20 or 24GB for DeepSeek.

plenty of 7900xt's/xtx's available in Europe, prices dropping every week. I wouldn't buy them with fsr4 being hw locked to rdna4 though.

Nvidia domino effect. Real life Mr Burns clones, running e-retails, in their infinite wisdom, started price hiking AMD GPU's, they ran out of price hikes on nvidia GPU's. I see 7900XTX's but 3rd party vultures, I mean retailers are selling them for twice the yesterday's price.

Thank god, I was worried they'd been discontinued. When the 9070xt and more 50 series comes out, this might alleviate some. Need a 7900xtx as old rig is going to my sister when I upgrade, then when I upgrade again down the road, hopefully to UDNA or UDNA2, my sister will get the 7900xtx.

For me this proves my theory about why the 9070XT was delayed. Retailers probably refused to take anymore. There is something that may be true. Either the price or performance or both will mean that the price will seem justified for the 9070XT. We have information from AMD that they are not competing at the high end with this generation. That means if you are already on a 7900 series GPU you can save up for the UDNA. Contrary to what people that don't own 7900 series know that Upscaling is the last thing you think about and any resolution is fine today. One reason I am excited for UDNA is that AMD already has a 32GB Enterprise UDNA card.

DeepSeek R1 is causing the 7900xtx to skyrocket. I think AMD needs to release a 9070xtai with 32gb for a special markup.

People "settling" for what they could get and Panic Buyers.

From my PoV:
The RX 9070 announcement (or lack thereof) and middling preliminary performance caused a spike in price/sales right before the RTX 5k release.
Right after the RTX 5k release, everyone realized they weren't getting a 5080 or 5090 anytime soon and, (IMO) those that sold their RTX 4k and those 'stuck' on several-generations past cards, panic bought.

I overpaid ~$100 for a Nitro+ XTX, right around the RX 9070's 'solid' press news.
Right after the RTX 5Ks launched, I was seeing 7900XTXs OoS or going for $1,200-1,500+.

I mean, I guess that's better than mining?? At least the out of stock cards are actually going into builds?

7900XT and 7900XTX aside, price discovery on the 7800XT is completely cocked up as well.
When the 9070XT and others finally drop, this is most likely going to be the temper of the market:

It's obvious what they're doing.
